I follow a couple of Niji guys because they play stuff I like, but they're not too high on the priority list if I need someone to stream and lots of people are online. Amusingly, I found them all through watching female Niji girl collabs and never through word of mouth. If you aren't filtered by his flaming queer live2d, Chaika is hilarious, even if you know little runespeech.

Chaika is one of the better ones. I do spend some time looking at new VTubers, trying to find diamonds in the boring morass (or autism - I also look for possibly cows to keep an eye on, though the real cows tend to stay as VTweeters, sadly). Most male VTubers are okay. While most of his stuff is gay sex pandering, Bungo Taiga does have charisma and moments of funny. Most of them land in the Kon_Zetsu range where they are alright. Decent gamers but nothing stand out. They are at their best when collabing. I just don't think this draws many guys. Sort of like fanfiction sites, where for every 20 women authors you get 1 guy author.

I know the mooncels get way too parasocially involved with their pretend women but it doesn't make sense. I have a hard time believing Pippa has Japanese fans. I love her jokes but she and a lot of her mates (save for Tenma) really gear their stuff to a western audience. How well is Metokur style humor going to land with the average Japanese? Placing rules to protect a largely nonexistent Japanese fanbase while your talent does fuckall to actually court the Japanese watchers is all around bizarre.

Do any of you follow male vtubers? I'm aware there is a fanbase here for holostars. But personally, I have zero interest in any male vtubers. Even girls I follow who have collabs with male vtubers, I'll probably skip it because it doesn't really interest me. I'm not looking for GFE mind you and I'm not one to push rrats about them fucking if they collab. It really comes down to that I'd rather hear anime girls voices than anime guys voices.

That isn't my point at all. I'm just confused why they'd outright ban them from it in the first place. Like, for example, Tenma is allowed to explicitly and publicly express her desire to collab with Holostars and 'thirst' for macho men, and Pippa is continually allowed to continue on with her insane antics that are as far away from 'idol' as possible. But yet, despite all of this, they're still banned from collabing with any men despite them not going the 'seiso aidoru' route at all. It's just strange to me, even if I may not watch male VTubers myself.

And I'm not even just talking about the Male-VTuber possibilities either. It also ruins any far-off chances of Pippa collabing with any strange fringe internet personalities in the future or something (, I know lol).

I don't know how widespread it is but I know it exists even outside of vtubers with western streamers with some twitch streamers having issues with their fanbase sperging out after they find out they're in a relationship (whether it's a male or a female streamer)

So I had this pop up in my recommended, we all seen the picture already of Peko being number 2 and Miko at number 5 placing at the moment in top female streamers at the moment. But this video showcases bits of the current top 5 steamers. This really goes to show the VAST differences. Like holy shit, the other 3 are just look so fucking boring to watch not to mention the biggest coomer bait at number one. All I wish is Pekora to sweep in at number 1, I know it a big ask but seeing her at the top spot would make my year.

One thing that people don't realizes is that among the list, even from the first one, about half of the list are streamers that didn't use english. That is hugely important because it shows just how massive the non-english market actually is, something a lot of the Twitch people either don't realize yet, or didn't want to admit

Edit: Also, with Kronii recently released her schedule, most anons on /∞/ didn't take the 3 breaks well with only a few fine with it. But the rest were either butt hurt mad, frustrated, annoyed, or in the case of one of the local goslingfag/writefag was getting PTSD for when his oshi was Ayame. This means the thread will continue to time-loop infighting itself during the break days. Which is kinda disappointing IMO.

Today's Pippa stream was very kino. I'm glad that she's finally played a game that she actually enjoyed enough to want to finish on-stream. She's planning on doing more streams of it next week, so I'm looking forward to that.
I'm also happy that she's looking into setting up a PhaseConEN collab for L4D2; that stream will end up being fantastic.

I will also keep shilling for Team Fortress 2 until the day I die.
