If you are willing to rationalize that you are female and that it doesn't bother you that we call you "she" ...

And if you are willing to entertain our diagnosis of you instead of your "lived experience" ...

You adapt too easily to other people's opinion of you. This is really not healthy. And if nothing else, you need to seriously think about why that is. It's not because you are plural. It's because you have low self-esteem. Lots of people deal with self-esteem issues in different ways, but you are using a strategy (plurality) that is hiding the real problem. It's not just about getting attention for you (which you admit isn't even working), it's about getting love and care. And somewhere along the way, you've learned that it's easier to be someone else so that someone will love you than to be yourself, a singular Alyssa. I don't even blame you for that. It may have made sense for you at one point, but it has outlived its usefulness for you, and now it is holding you back. If you truly believe you have 100 headmates inside of you, ask why you need to constantly change who you are, who is "fronting," to keep people close.

Do something truly crazy. Be yourself. Just yourself.
