another thing: i really didn't buy the whole "OMG the media's downplaying it because they're sucking xi's dick!!!11" because literally just before that we were all talking about how china was one of the main sources of air pollution yet the media was running with the climate change narrative anyway. i didn't see why, if it was real, the media didn't just use the virus as an excuse to curtail civil liberties like with climate change without pointing the finger at china (which they ended up doing from march onward)

Viruses tend to mutate towards being more infectious, less dangerous and generally, over time, become the common cold. SARS-2 isn't the only coronavirus of this type, and AIDS patients do die from the common cold - most people are just immune, but without immunity, these viruses are fucking nasty.

It is entirely plausible since the early fatality rate was stupidly high. Advanced medical care, medical "awareness"/Chinese culture (You no worky? You feel tired? You FIRED! Boss need you worky!) - if you'll recall, it spiked like crazy and killed thousands in Italy and Iran within weeks - it was that dangerous. But over time, as severe cases were isolated, the only way the virus could spread was by becoming less dangerous.

Look at how the flu was hardly mentioned at all in the past year when we normally get deluged with dire warnings of flu season and what might happen to those that don't get flue shots.


Perhaps, but look at how many places are still reporting COVID cases that include x number of infections discovered after the fact during a "records review."


This might largely depend on when/where one gets tested. I had to get a test last summer and the county health department had a suprisingly-fast 2-day turnaround. Other places have taken and still take longer.


It's sad that any innocent statement such as "Well, it's Monday" can be enough to trigger a political rant over COVID or the presidency, or anything otherwise irrelevant to the overall conversation.


If I recall earlier in the thread, someone was sharing their experience with boating and mentioned how it only takes one available crew member without a replacement to keep a ship from moving because all crew members are required due to law and safety standards.

Had to return to the Doctor's to know ones fucking surprise I needed an antibiotic and an antiaflamitory. Because the last doctor couldn't be bothered to give a rat's ass. I had to spend the day rolling in anger and agony. Better now that I got my test results and proper treatment.

I disagree. I think the problem in February 2020 was the collapse of the medical system. Iran's healthcare system is shit because most Iranian doctors flee to Western countries because they can make far more there. Italy's healthcare system is shit because of decades of corruption and failed privatization, it's basically the problems of the British NHS on steroids and to boot Italy has a huge elderly population. IIRC there have been flu seasons in recent years where Italy had problems in their medical system. I recall in March 2020 the stats from Italy were already saying the virus was mostly just butchering the elderly and there were plenty of suggestions that cases were underreported since for many people it was just a shitty flu.

That was when I stopped worrying, because the stats out of Italy and from cruise ships all agreed with each that this virus was just another swine flu, yet this was the same month that plenty of people on this site tried to argue that we needed lockdowns to save everyone from some deadly virus. March 2020 was a weird month.

No one did. I went on vacation in San Diego right next to Mexico where the swine flu started and literally no one at either airport wore a mask and the only difference from normal were hand sanitizer stations and signs telling stupid people that coughing and sneezing into the air or your hands is bad. I was on vacation again a few months later to a different part of the country and once again, no masks, nothing but hand sanitizer at the airport. Nobody in California or anywhere else wore masks. I was actually at the local airport in February 2020 and they used the exact same setup as with swine flu--hand sanitizer and signs telling you to not be gross about coughing/sneezing, and nobody but a few elderly Asians (who may have flown in from China or South Korea) wore a mask.

It's fucking bizarre how they brainwashed people into treating wearing a mask that doesn't work as normal. If I thought COVID-19 was actually dangerous, I'd be wearing a respirator every time I stepped out in public. Early on, before mask mandates, I went to a grocery store and saw a blue collar-looking guy wearing his work respirator in the store. I'd be like that. If this "pandemic" were truly dangerous, mask mandates would get tens of millions of people killed because those masks aren't helping shit.

One of the biggest newspapers in Britain, the Daily Mirror, is now reporting, “Brits suffering from miserable colds could actually be enduring breakthrough cases of Covid-19 without realising, potentially allowing the virus to continue to spread.”

Apparently, people who are reporting suffering the “worst cold ever” are not struggling due to immunity being lowered as a result of social distancing and mask wearing, but because they are actually infected with COVID-19.

The report cites Professor Tim Spector, lead scientist on the ZOE Covid study app, who claims that not enough people are wearing masks.

“If we don’t wake up to the fact these cold-like symptoms could be Covid, we will continue to keep numbers high,” he claimed, apparently upset that Brits have not yet been plunged into yet another lockdown.

The report is bewildering because for one it equates the symptoms of a common cold with COVID.

When “conspiracy theorists” say COVID is just the flu, they are vilified, but apparently it’s fine for the media and government experts to make the comparison.

I am really surprised the video is still up. yt and g have been going to such a huge effort to hide everything, to the point that people can't even say the word covid, without being demonitised or the video removed.

The point he is making at 5:30, that right there is a very large reason you would have to tie me down, and forcibly inject me. I have quite a few injuries, re-occuring joint issues, where I am already at the stage that if I'm not taking magnesium multiple times a day, I literally can't walk. I have a plate sitting somewhere, that when the weather gets that bitterly cold edge to it, it feels like what freezing metal feels like to touch, but on the inside (if that makes sense).

It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of people are now dismissing the same issues as, 'I'm just getting old'. They definitely wouldn't relate it to the vaccine, since it's pre-existing.

What the fuck? Yes, the collapse of the medical system due to a highly infectious disease was the problem. This is not much of a problem any more, but may happen again if the vaccine problems get any worse. Medical infrastructure is delicate. A few dozen guys with weapons could shut down any Western European country within a few days if they wanted to - infrastructure is extremely delicate and many people will suffer a lot if it is hit hard.

When people are in hospital, or unable to get medical treatment, it causes an enormous "traffic jam" as everything leading up to it, and from it, breaks, too. Everything works on a just-in-time and extremely efficient manner, and cannot cope with shocks like that.

Taking out the medical system causes a negative feedback loop.

I don't understand. Yes, influenza could do that too, it's not weaponised plague, it's a respiratory disease. Reading this seems to be that you have a solid idea of how bad the disease is, but then immediately switch, at the end, to saying it isn't bad. What exactly do you consider as "SHTF"?
