As someone said earlier, in usual farming speak 36 acres is "a field", not "a ranch". I've noticed that lots of the film crews pull the same stunt. They have long swooping drone shots honing in on them from a distance without bothering to mention that all the green fields they are flying over belong to other people and that the Troons only own the little muddy patch covered in stones, cactus and shit.

I am not of the rural persuasion, the closest I got to farm work is coding custom software for a greenhouse to make it so they could use QR cards to set up schedules for lighting and watering timers based on a central database to save them making mistakes when swapping over segments to different plants depending on demands because the cheap labour was cheap for a reason.

So I am curious, how many alpacas are they at, and realistically, how much land should they have to support that count?
