The people who are harming trans folks (and people who think they are trans) are the groomers, activists, therapists and doctors who are rushing them into unethical (and frankly awful) surgeries with the false promise of turning them into the opposite sex, as well as absolutely refusing to gatekeep transgenderism in any way so that the trans movement has become a vehicle for misogynists and fetishists.

We are not performing shoddy surgeries on trans people and then ghosting them when our crotches start to rot or split open (behaviour that is so common among SRS surgeons it is practically the norm); we are not handing out hormones like candy to autistic teenagers who cannot grasp that the changes to their bodies will be irreversible but that they will never become the opposite sex. We are not trawling online spaces for 'eggs' (young effeminate boys) to 'crack' (convince these boys that they are trans and that they can solve their normal teenager anxiety and identity issues by taking estrogen) so that we can jerk off to the idea of sissifying someone. We just make mean comments on the internet.

I propose that there are four quadrants of trans folks, similar to the ratings on that political scale:

(1) Fake Gender, Authentic Performer: Divine, Contrapoints (the performance artist, fun to watch, good entertainment...but debased)
(2) Fake Gender, Inauthentic Performer: Philosophy Tube, Mrs. Doubtfire (the con-artist, out for themselves, quite sick and the most debased)
(3) Real Gender, Authentic Performer: Nyx Fears, Blaire White (the empathetic ones, the ones that are actually "trans"...they'd be happy to go to the store and be left alone)
(4) Real Gender, Inauthentic Performer: Caitlyn Jenner, Chris Chan (these are the most confused ones, no idea what's going on at all...it's honest, but awful)

Get a rating system of 1-10 for actual gender identity, and 1-10 for actual performance...and I think there's a real chance of placing these people in a way that we can mock them most efficiently, or not at all, based on their relative fakeness and inauthenticity.

99% of what I see online would be teenagers who are confused because they are ugly but think girls are pretty, which means they have to be a girl to become pretty and will then accept themselves. Autogynephiles who think the norm is that you are supposed to be attracted to yourself.

Or, people who jerk off to so much porn that they are apathetic, and suddenly declare themselves asexual, non-gender, queers. It's quite apparent when the supposed "asexual" will vehemently defend that they still can be asexual while having sex and masturbating as much as they like.

Or, anxious late 20s folk who are getting so afraid of getting old and ugly that they think switching genders and having a "second puberty" will save them from time.

There most likely are transgender people, extremely rare, and it seems like something from birth. Something innate in you that makes you unable to not be the opposite gender, not something you happen to stumble upon later in life that will suddenly fix all your problems.

I also don't want to see people get harmed, there needs to be a much more research and a bigger focus on therapy, and how "late-onset gender dysphoria" relates to generalized anxiety disorder and autism.
Policies that make therapists unable to question peoples beliefs that they might be transgender is about as crazy as a therapist telling someone suffering from OCD that they should indugle in all their habits, or a conspiracy theorist that the Illuminati is real. These people never develop any kind of critical thinking where they can question their own beliefs.

It really is a system of "good intent" that has become a system of abuse.

You will find a surprisingly large range of opinions relating to transgender issues in threads like this. Threads related to trans stuff tend to have the 'are there true trans people or not?' argument every couple of weeks or so and it never goes anywhere. We also have plenty of posters who come in and say 'ALL TRANNY RETARDS SHOULD DIE ALSO GAS THE KIKES' or whatever but that is a consequence of a forum with a lax moderation policy about stuff like that, and you can just ignore them unless they are causing major disruption to the thread.

You are likely getting negrated not just by people who disagree with what you are saying but by people who agree with you, because your post comes off as if the idea of 'maybe some trans people are good?' is something no one here has ever considered before, like you are here to enlighten all the benighted KiwiFarmers who would have never thought of such a thing. Seems like I was right about him being Olly's new American lover. I wonder if Olly will make the move to NYC since his boyfriend is planning on doing so within the next year? Based solely off of what I've seen of his Youtube persona - maybe he's normal irl - "Claire" seems rather unhinged to me.
