'Minecraft' currently has more votes than 'Acquital'...it's not looking good, self-defense bros...

I'm voting guilty. I got rekt on the Chauvin verdict, to the point that I was actually quite disturbed for a few days after he was found guilty so quickly by like a 90% nigger-or-woman jury. I had studiously watched the trial every day; I thought that maybe on the balance of probabilities he would be guilty, but certainly not beyond a reasonable doubt. I was actually shocked that there wasn't at least one holdout who refused to go along with the rest of those monkeys as they convicted a cop for doing his job, however badly.

I'm going to try not to get invested, but I think this hits home for a lot of us. It's just a kid who was trying to do right by his community and they're trying to pin a life sentence on him.

It ain't right.

Anybody who has the raw footage, please upload it on here for all to see.
There's 4 main camera angles, and they're scattered around the 2020 Riots thread. The NYT did a remarkably accurate timeline with pictures, but no video breakdown. I'll go digging when I have some spare time and see if I can assemble it all again.

Even if you never saw the videos, if you read the original complaint the prosecutors themselves wrote up, you'd acquit him based on that description alone.

The prosecutors helpfully laid out every element of self-defense for Kyle when they indicted him.

Rittenhouse does have a few things going for him that Chauvin didn't. His optics are a hell of a lot better, none of the people he shot came close to the astroturfed messianic status of Floyd. None of them were even black and the same people who were ready to riot over Chauvin potentially being acquitted just don't care as much here. Guess we'll just have to see how jury selection ends up going.

I thought Chauvin was going to be fucked on some level no matter what happened though I'll admit I was caught a bit off guard by him getting convicted of everything as quickly as he did. It might be cope but I do think Rittenhouse is starting from a stronger position than him though, Chauvin was always going to be fighting a hopeless battle against public opinion.

Here's the incident in question.

Kyle is on the ground
1) shoots dude booting him in the face
2) shoots someone striking at his head with skateboard
3) shoots guy who pulls a pistol on him
He missed that first guy.

I think Rittenhouse will have the most trouble with Rosenbaum. But it is funny that the criminal complaint includes McGinnis claiming that Rosenbaum was trying to take Rittenhouse's gun. I also did not notice before that Rittenhouse is charged with recklessly endangering McGinnis.

Rittenhouse is going to be found guilty on all counts and is going to spend the rest of his life in 23-hour lockdown inside a maximum security prison. That’s just the way it is.
Nah, you are wrong. I'm actually expecting the feds to swoop in with their own charges to push for a federal death penalty.

I voted guilty in the poll, not because I think he committed a crime, nor because I want him to be found guilty, but because it seems like the most likely outcome in Current Year Clown World. World's most tainted jury, implied violence dependent on outcome, people taking pictures in the courtroom, bought off prosecutors and DA, all of these are possibilities if not inevitable, and throw in witness intimidation as a bonus because that's also almost inevitable. Once your case starts accumulating political muster it's all fucking downhill from there at this point. Doubt it was much different throughout all of history but at least at times there would be the illusion of some form of 'justice' but at this point anyone with any faith left in the judicial system must be smoking some good fucking shit.
Bundy was acquitted despite all they could throw at him.
