General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Thank you for saying that. Vtubers are hundreds on miles behind on the livestreaming "meta". Barely anyone has editors. Barely anyone makes edited "highlights" of their streams. Do you know how much money big streamers like Asmongold, Destiny, Ludwig make off of their Youtube channels where they post "highlights". They make a fucking fortune. I blame Hololive and Nijisanji being Japanese and them being the "first" big vtuber companies and them being weighed down being Japanese and how slow the Japanese are to adapting. Now everyone wants to be the next Hololive and just copies them instead of following the normal western model of Twitch streaming/content creation that has worked for far longer than Hololive has been around.

Another thing that's the fault of Hololive and it being Japanese is how awful most EN vtuber's hours broadcasted are. The vast majority of HoloJP's viewerbase is in ONE timezone so they don't need to stream for 6-8 hours to hit multiple timezones. They just need to stream for 2 hours in JP primetime and they hit everyone while an EN vtuber that starts at primetime PST misses EU completely and large portion of the East Coast. There's a reason many big streamers start at midday East Coast and stream for 6+ hours. They hit primetime in EU, East Coast and West Coast.
My argument against posting highlight clips is that they're only really helpful when you already have a sizeable audience who can't sit down and watch your streams from start to finish - which people like xqc and asmongold typically do considering they stream almost 24 hours. Otherwise, it's just another video that will get lost in the algorithm.

Also consider that most VTubers only stream for 2-3 hours at best, so at most any highlight reel you will get would be about 5-10 minutes long each stream compared to almost a days worth of content most editors would sift through xqc's.

What is up with all the holo pets getting sick, give the girls a break.
Rushia's cat was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy so she takes a few day off.

On lighter a note (or not?) this FMA reference is just perfect, the 3D drawing stream keeps on giving

As Diya mentioned, she knows their language. Also I believe that verbal tics like adding "honey" at the end of every fucking sentence are generally speaking less cringe for non-native speakers, so russian bros can just disregard it.
Honestly as much as I hate the honey spamming is it more or less annoying than peko, nye or nanora? Maybe if we listen to it enough our ears will filter it out...

Funny how there's no BST and JST this time from Gura. Maybe she got the 5G vaccine and is travelling last week for the expo?

As for Kronii, maybe she's finally fixing her sleeping habit? She isn't feeling well, hence her minimal activities for the week. Seems to put more effort than Ayame, which is nice.

peko, nye and nanora are verbal ticks, well known among JP and weeb audiences.
I have never seen anyone have a "honey" tick in my entire fucking life, so you are comparing apple to oranges here.

In other news.
Do you have a moment to talk about Inui's silky smooth voice?

@thirteenorphans she doesn't have a verbal tick, unlike pekomiko and the baby.
She saw herself getting criticized for it. And what did she do? Double down on it. Hard.
Good for her. That filters me out tho.
I feel she handled it pretty shrewdly in the end. Putting out a stream so quickly after the debut and calling those who criticised her overuse as "haters" before the info about monkeyism spread made sure to basically neutralise any criticism in the future. Justifying doubling down with the twitteresque "owning the haters because I don't actually care for them and it's fun" type of reasoning is just a cherry on top. Notice that it's a bit too strong to brand people complaining about her act as "haters" and the monkeyism connection was still in containment or unknown at that point in time. Really makes you think.
Still, the numbers and overall reception among normalfriends show that people are genuinely accepting the character she's playing. It'll be interesting to see if they crumble out or not, or what the demographics of her channel will be.

tf are u talking about,if its nijisanji, yes blame that for that stupid old school jap company that not just CANT but WONT ADAPT,but holo on the other side is actually the opposite how tf do u think holo is popular in global audience while being a fcking IDOL?? answer is simple.

1.because they are not IDOL seiso jap BS
2.because they are not those stupid old school jap company(atleast half of it,still has some problem but most of it is not)
3.they are with ofc the existence of coco, are taking the chance they have to go for mainstream audience(again while
using the idol gimmick),many holo fans cant watch something like niji, because niji is the perfect example of what jap is,their humor, their content(baseball game etc) that really only for japs viewer, holo?? the exact opposite, meme etc.

HoloEN this and that blablabla, holo EN is the "best" ENvtuber u could ask for, when holoEN about to debut, ppl be like "omg must be some SJW twitter fag/tranny blabla" then u got mori, ame, ina, kiara, and ofc gura<<this is became the standard "good" ENvtuber, they took the good side of JP(fully control their vtuber to not go exceptional individual like political and shit) and good side of west which is what u could ask from gura, mori and ame.

and why i said blame niji?? the only reason niji is successful in jp is they start first, dominating the market by "quantity over quality, debut EVERYONE who have small fanbase that apply to them, and being JAPANESE STUFF through and through, their approach is the worst, the good thing of their model is they are not idol so we can get male and female interact without problem, the problem is they bring that shit to EN,yeah look at niji EN,how many are their member?? 7?10? about going to be 20?? <<this is the worse, because its not about "PERSONALITY" anymore, and most of them all straight up become the "LITERALLY WHO"<<yeah i dont make shit up,look at niji JP,most of them are LITERALLY WHO,because theres too many at the short times.

the thing is,holo is still a japanese company,so still many strick rules blablabla, but if its about their idol or "dont collab with male" is BULLSHIT,matsuri, fubuki, subaru collabing with holostars,if cover/holo DONT ALLOW them because they are IDOLS,then fubuki and matsuri already graduate now.but if we talk about the vtuber that as mainstream as u can imagine(in a good way) specially for the jap company one,its absolutely holo, those NijiEN exist(or they finally give a fuck about EN,because they dont care about NijiIN at all) because of holo and u say holo to blame when they are the one who create a "good" EN vtuber, otherwise u got vtweeter or even now niji got their own sjw vtuber,i forgot the nina one her name IIRC.

Take your recommended dosage of meds dude. It might make whatever you're rambling about more coherent.

If I may recommend an alternative for that song, it would have to be Asahina Akane:
Given the yandere and dark lyrics, I think Akane's vocals are befitting for the song.

I'd also like to add that the art has high effort too!

She did said she'll finally slow herself down. I don't mind at all, even prefer it actually. One of the reason I come to Oshi Suisei is how her stream is short and only two to three stream a week. Make it easy to fit her stream in my schedule, especially if you have more than one person you follow.

I keep hearing people criticize her here so I sit down and watch one of her stream. Didn't last five minutes. The pretend mommy vibe is one, but it's enjoyable at time since it's unique enough. But the overly sweet honey after every sentence is a deal breaker for me. Filtered me out right away.

Have halal approved Mumei. Excepted not as there's hair still showing.

Speaking of Islamic content and now that I see this. Who will be the first vtuber who has a fatwa declared on them? 🤔
My guess is Moona from HoloID by her roommate brother who simped for her

Didn't Moona already get in trouble for basically telling management that she wanted to stream during one of those AlluhaSnakbar holidays where they couldn't stream for 3 days?
If it wasn't that, it was for tweeting something mildly sacrilegious at Lyrica.

Also there was a catboy doing Quran readings somewhere in this thread.

We need to keep an eye on forgor birb.
We can't blame her. She sees things.

I start to think this clipper have it out for Kiara or something. His supportive clips always end up making her looking like a whinny number-fagging bitch.
Maybe because she is.

I actually didn't notice that Suisei streams 2-3 times a week; I just get to watch her whenever she's there. That's really interesting take on it, ngl.

Seems like we have some pretty slow start for the week lads.
- Bakatare vs Anpontan Sisters (Mario Kart)
- Korone playing some GBA games
- Nenechi on MC
- Pekora on some creator/nousagi contents
- Baelz just having a midnight snack/chat stream

I feel like she's trying too hard to hop onto the "hi honey" train - it's pretty grating to listen to, especially when that meme already outstayed its welcome. Peko/etc seem much more organic to me (although maybe you have a point there)

Man I love Akane's covers, she's one of my favourite vtube singers. It's a shame that she doesn't get more attention for it.

I'd love to be in a situation where having 1,2 mln subscribers and making a fuckton of money is considered "doing something wrong" just because some people live in different time zones than me.

Is it kiara doomposting if she's doing it herself?

I've never got the appeal of Kiara's streams tho. They're too long (so much they tend to overlap with someone else's) , I don't usually like the games she plays, and the timezone is shit.

As the clipper put in in the pinned comment, she'd hire a dedicated highlight editor.

-------

Speaking of highlights, I found this playlist with all of Mythbreaker's episodes, except the newest one. Might be of use to some who don't have 12 hours to catch up to the streams and want to skip the scuffs.
