Not that anyone here would necessarily believe Ben Garrison (or Andrew Torba) but just for the record the Amish do "believe" in vaccines. It can be a tough sell but they have no inherent opposition to vaccines in their belief system. Some Amish sects are as vaccinated as the non-Amish in the same regions.

I've always been one to at least "listen" to the "arguments" that these people make, considering how so many prominent conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones turned out to be right the whole time (for most matters, anyway). The mainstream media is exceptionally untrustworthy in this day and age. Fact-checking on social media is profoundly flawed and inefficient at stopping the spread of misinformation. Meanwhile, meaningful discussions get purged left and right for not aligning with the popular narrative. Disgruntled voices can point out the writing on the walls for years, or perhaps even decades before shit hits the fan. At the same time, there's always a certain level of Occam's razor that we need to apply lest we allow our imaginations to run wild with speculation.

Is there a lot of misinformation surrounding the origins of COVID along with its actual impact on humanity? Of course.
Is there a lot of misinformation surrounding the COVID vaccines, along with their side effects and long-term ramifications? I certainly don't doubt it.

Was COVID the result of a Chinese bioweapon unwittingly unleashed en masse, or was it the result of horrifying incompetence at a Chinese wet market? Either way, China's at fault for the virus. If it was a bioweapon, it was stored poorly, reflecting horribly on the CCP on all fronts. If it was the result of zoonotic disease transfer, that still blames China and adds more fuel to the argument that the Chinese genuinely don't care about the environment.

When there's room for speculation on any given subject, there will always be outliers who have bizarre fucking takes on the situation at hand. Equating genuine criticism to crackpot theories concocted by some terminally online basement dweller is fucking laughable at best and fucking insulting at worst. That's like comparing a functional autistic person to Chris.
