A 35-year-old man in Pennsylvania is facing rape and assault charges after a woman was sexually assaulted on board a public transit train Wednesday night as riders witnessed the attack but did not intervene, authorities said on Friday.

The woman was assaulted at around 11 p.m. while riding the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Market-Frankford line towards the town of Upper Darby.

"The assault was observed by a SEPTA employee, who called 911, enabling SEPTA officers to respond immediately and apprehend the suspect in the act," Andrew Busch, a SEPTA spokesperson, said in a statement.

SEPTA officers arrested the man, later identified as 35-year-old Fiston Ngoy, according to Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt.

Surveillance video captured the entirety of the assault, giving investigators enough evidence to charge Ngoy with rape and assault, Bernhardt told NBC Philadelphia.

The video also shows how riders, who also witnessed the attack, did nothing to help the woman being assaulted, according to Bernhardt.

"It's disturbing," he said. "I'm shocked, I have no words for it. I just can't imagine seeing what you were seeing through your own eyes and seeing what this woman was going through that no one would step in and help her."

Investigators are also reviewing the videos in an effort to determine who was there and interview possible witnesses, Bernhardt added.

Bernhardt told NBC Philadelphia that he spoke to the woman on Friday and said she was doing okay after being taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries following the assault.

Upper Darby police continues leading the investigation into the rape with assistance from SEPTA Transit Police. Investigators are also urging anyone who witnessed the attack to contact the authorities.

SEPTA is also urging possible witnesses to contact the authorities.

"The rape that occurred on SEPTA’s Market-Frankford Line Wednesday night (Oct. 13) was a horrendous criminal act," Busch said. "There were other people on the train who witnessed this horrific act, and it may have been stopped sooner if a rider called 911."

"SEPTA urges anyone who observes a crime being committed or any dangerous situation occurring to report it. Anyone witnessing an emergency should immediately call 911," he added.

Ngoy remains in jail unable to post bail, NBC Philadelphia reported.

It's totally possible someone might have intervened or alerted authorities had they not been directly in the path of a dangerous attacker who could've killed them. (Not to mention the fact that if someone who isn't a law enforcement officer tries to be a "good Samaritan" that they could potentially run afoul of the law themselves if they didn't know what they were doing or what the laws are on using force).

Meanwhile the white guy would've lost his job for being the second coming of Hitler, possibly lost his wife/kids after being treated to months of harrassment by BLM and their followers, ditto the house/apartment. And then had to spend every last dime to pay for a defense that would lose and send him to jail for a decade+.

You roll your sleeves up and say that you insist, and will remove him by force if necessary. He pulls out a knife and asks if you want to die. Do you want to die? He rushes you, you fire two rounds center-mass which drop him, and you promptly contact the authorities and comply fully with the law. He's taken to the hospital where he's declared dead, and the police ask you a series of questions before letting you go, saying they might have some follow-up but it's unlikely.

There's no video evidence of the altercation, and most of the other passengers had moved away and/or only saw pieces of the event. News stories run about a white man shooting and killing a black man on the subway, with a single line about 'alleges it was done in self-defense'. Twitter and online rags speculate that you're a racist vigilante, or some kind of incel mad at the site of an interracial couple. News outlets try to contact other passengers for comment, most don't respond, the couple that do give a low-commitment answer about how it looked like maybe the couple was getting handsy or something but they don't know if it was non-consensual. There's very little corroborating your story that you stopped a rape and the guy tried to kill you, but you decide to just ignore it and wait for the story to blow over.

There's a knock on your door, a sheriff is outside, who informs you that you're being charged with murder 1, murder 2, and manslaughter 420. You're arrested, booked, and eventually get out on bail. You retain a lawyer, who advises you to not talk in the slightest about the case. This development stokes news about the case, with the DA giving a public statement that they believe the killing was unjustified and potentially racially motivated. They say they're considering hate crime enhancements for the crime.

A bunch of your friends and family quietly drift away from you. Your girlfriend leaves you, if only because of the stress of everything. You spend all your savings, and maybe sell some assets, just to afford the lawyer for your case. You're fired from your job and have to max your credit cards to handle bills while you wait a year for your case to roll around. You're utterly financially ruined, but at least you kept your best suit for the trial.

The prosecution says you killed a man in cold blood on the subway, and they believe it was racially motivated because you accosted a mixed-race couple. Your lawyer argues that you defended a woman being sexually assaulted, and only used deadly force when your life was in imminent danger. The woman isn't available as a witness, as she says the stress of the incident has completely ruined her memory of most of the day. One witness from the subway gives testimony, where he says it looked like the woman was uncomfortable and the guy might have been taking advantage of her, but on cross-examination the prosecution gets him to say that he thought they were fooling around and he left because it was awkward, making it sound to the jury like it was a consensual couple being a bit exhibitionist.

The jury finds you guilty, and you're sentenced to 30 years in prison after the hate crime enhancements kick the sentencing up a notch. You go into maximum security prison, where nobody writes to you, and after a year you get raped to death in your cell by a pack of niggers.

Alternatively, a hung jury is forced to acquit you, and you get to return to your life as it was before... except you immediately have to declare bankruptcy, selling even your suit, renting a slum apartment and working shitty jobs where they don't google your name.

But at least, for one brief moment, you managed to rise above your toxic masculinity and be a true feminist ally.

In Philly there was a shooting near Lincoln High today. It was a bunch of thugs with a beef that neighbors had been complaining about for awhile. One boy was shot in the back of the head and is currently hospitalized. The other victim, a 66 year old man who just happened to be driving by was shot in the head by a stray bullet. He didn't make it.
