Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I just looked up cadence in terms of the military:

Beginning with simple 'left, right, left' in Basic Combat Training, the tunes blasted out of the mouths of drill sergeants are forever entwined to the movement of troops. Cadence is defined as the beat, time, or measure of rhythmical motion or activity

Sort of. All my Drill Sergeants were white or latino men with CIBs. We still did that cadence right alongside one about (literally) cucking the Taliban before shooting them in the dicks. It was a wild time in my life.

It's no different than the old "Once there was 10,000 black Marines, surrounded in the Valley of the Enemy..."

The worst part is that they're making them do this shit with masks on.

I broke three metatarsals in my foot on a ruck march, and limped around all the way 'til graduation when they finally told me, "Well, lolwut, you missed your last PT test, the final ruck, and grenade/machinegun day. You can either redo all of infantry OSUT (One Station Unit Training) or we can send you home." Redo all of basic for two days worth of work?

I went the fuck home. Still kicking myself for getting talked into that 18X contract. Went into the recruitment office wanting to fly drones.

At least you're honest about it. I have seen plenty of jaggoffs who try to claim more than they should when they ended up flunking out of basic for one reason or another.

It's like, 12 weeks of ritual humiliation for EVERYONE.

Unless things have MASSIVELY changed, the brothers don't get a pass during that shit-storm.

A lot of black dudes have massive breakouts at the base of their heads when their heads are shaved for basic, so they've got a ton of white-heads on the back of their heads.

Which ends up providing the drills with a LOT of humor.
