In general I've noticed a lot of European expats are like this in the US. They remain super skinny despite the calorie rich American offerings in front of them.

That’s because non-Americans still know how to shop and cook for themselves; although in Shad’s case I doubt he does either of those things and instead starves himself to afford more heroin.

Note: I'd quote/reply to everyone but I feel like that would be spamming this with my own conversation. Also, since I'm new all of my posts are awaiting approval so it is possible that it will be irrelevant in just a few hours by the time a mod approves it lol.

BrainProlapse was ultimately correct in that there was no need to analyze someone like Shad so deeply. (I am also now aware my last post was excessively long for no reason) Truly, Shad is many things but a deep subject he is not. It was easy to find a lot to say about him, just because I think the absurdity of this situation is one of those things that makes me really want to know why. Obviously, we will probably get some more details regarding that. Even if it is just getting an idea of when the drug usage started.

I can't help but think about Corey Spazkid's one animation, when he was under the crunch of that one animation show and he jokingly asserted that he was being paid in sugar. Shadman didn't necessarily seem to have intense deadlines or anything, but he did mention that he started a project that had taken most of his time up again. Is it possible that this is actually true, explaining his inactivity and that it may have contributed to a burn out - which we are seeing playing out now?
He had a lot of freedom prior to chase drama and flavour-of-the-month topics, I don't think he is someone capably able to maintain himself in an actual corporate-like setting where they expect you to meet a certain date and to provide some proof of adequate workflow. I wouldn't be surprised if such stresses are what have lead to the furthering of his condition, while simultaneously funding it. He did delete his patreon, but was it due to his own inactivity or was it because he had a more convenient cashflow? Hard to tell.

Also, I do want to correct earlier notion of the HRT thing being legitimate. It seems that was indeed, just a joke that was taken seriously. An easy thing to do, considering how unreliable Shad is when it comes to who he really is or simply wants others to believe.

3.) Belle Delphine was the last meme he really had any reason to draw. Bowsette, RE8 mother, Samsung Sam, etc are all too popular for him to throw his hat in and be the most "edgy" or "gross out".
4.) He's turned a new leaf, being that aloof dude bro that doesn't care because he cashed out on Bitcoin (like Oney and psychicpebbles)

I was so wrong. He got addicted to heroin, schizoposts on Twitter, and probably can't draw because he sold away his big Wacom tablet for meth. That's the reason he's so aloof. He's fucking strung out. He never truly became mainstream, Belle did. And he's not belle. All the other degen artists are still better than him (cyancap did a Collab with bad dragon to make a Fleshlight of his pig character), but it seems that he's poison in projects because he never works on any new ones. Even if he did draw something new, it would still just be his run of the mill shit. The same overblown and predictable drawings as always.

I'm glad to see shad deteriorate. His art led me down a dark path which comes to haunt and torment me more often than I'd like to admit. If I could go back and undo finding his drawings of Helen from Incredibles, I would do so in a heartbeat.
