General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I feel like that info would be better presented with more viewer numbers values, just singling out 20k is fairly arbitrary.
/#/ wants big numbers.

>I'm curious how common are 10K, 20K streams say as a percentage of total?

Here is the histogram for each range, for 2021 streams

I don't know what will come of it but I would say, I'd agree it's not a big deal if it were just the Kson stuff, the stuff that's not in that clip about her spilling out some rrat about Covercorp not allowing Coco to do English streams I feel could be more consequential.

Talking about Coco's other account is taboo but I could see it being enough of an open secret that it gets left alone, only "consequence" I could see there is if the bugmen perceived her as promoting Kson by bringing it up (because let's be real they don't take much to bait into action)

However the stuff directly bringing up covercorp and what they would or wouldn't allow Coco to do I could see ruffling more than a few corporate feathers. If what she said was true she was openly badmouthing a competing company that Niji would probably prefer to be on friendly terms with overall. If what she said was false it could just be seen as outright slander of a competing company and cause issues that way.

It also might just blow over but we'll see I suppose, decent chance of it just blowing over and any repercussions just being stuff behind closed doors and her perhaps getting chewed out by her managers. But at the same time there's definitely some plausible ways this could go much much worse.

Interestingly, Nina is no longer following KSON on twitter, which is something that has only occurred within the last day or two, so it's possible she's been told to lock it down and not be responsible for people finding Coco's roommate through her.

Initially, I thought it could have been due to China and their connections to Anycolor as no Niji I follow on Twitter follows her, but now Reimu follows KSON so I'm not sure that's the case.

It's also worthy of note that Nina's FR and Reimu's SPA streams were allowed to continue unabated, which I don't think necessarily would've happened if management were tard-wrangling behind the scenes.

Lastly — and it was mentioned earlier in the thread so I didn't see reason to repeat it — but Nina's comments on Coco weren't malicious. She was asked by RU viewers about more RU-only streams in the future and her response was to the tune of 'If someone like Coco couldn't promise that then I certainly can't either'. Wholly incorrect, of course, but context matters.

Neither of these name-drops are good and it honestly has me quite concerned. There's only so much I can give the benefit of the doubt, but also do take note that these initial 'translations' are coming from /vt/ (and if you check the comments of the YouTube vid you can see exactly where it's been circulating); so the rrats need some unwrapping before they should be discussed here in a place of should-be neutrality.

I think they'll ignore this one and take action if she does it again. She's very fortunate that KSON being Coco is an open secret actively encouraged by KSON to figure out. If she had said the same thing about Gibara then Ethyria would likely be a member short already.

So Calli gave us a timeframe for the overdue EN gen 1 outfits in her chatting stream (1:24:17): "Not much longer." Also told us it comes with new facial expressions.

More importantly, nothing she said disproves the rrat that I believe which explains the wait: All the new outfits were nearly fully rigged, but then management looked at Gura's rigging, realized it was once again garbage, threw out all the work her rigger had done on the new outfit, and finally just told him to fuck off forever, never to taint another hololive idol's visage with his sub-par rigging skills ever again. Of course, that means they had to hire someone else to rig Gura's new outfit, and that's why they've been delayed. okay I don't actually believe that but it would be really cool if the outfit didn't have holes in it this time
Anyahatesriggers.png

Well you've reminded me I never shared this from when I made it back when ID2 got their new outfits

Kson body, at least on the rigging, cost about "a year worth of rent"
1634722664400.png

So let's say 1.200,000 yen = around $10,500 + Yaman illustration and working in close contact with Kson and Rigger for three or more month. I can see it end up around $20,xxx. Sound about right, considering the general top-tier of the market model cost around $3,000 to $5,000. Definitely not $100k.
considering how shes been shilling her sisters, it wouldnt surprise me if yaman gave her a special price
I can see Kson as a type that would refuse the discount and forced him to take bonus for amazing job though. Especially since she had openly told her fan who made a song for her to properly send her a receipt so she can pay him.

That's some vintage internet referencing right there.

Oh boy I can practically taste the salt and rage quit :story:
Actually come to think of it, has Tenma done that so far? She's been pretty solid on sticking to it and using DETERMINATION on any games I recall offhand. She kept at Sans until she got through that in one stream iirc, with only the water bottle casualty and possibly being late to a meeting.

Also agreed with the Nasa King Cover, tbh I didn't think it would come out particularly alright at all but she really managed a fitting style for her voice. I like how she turned the background whispers into yawns to add her own flavor too.

Can someone tell me where this trend with vtubers and these hands come from? Is there someone who started this or did it come from out of the vt sphere? The feet on table thing was started by Ame if I'm not mistaken, right?

I saw some artist made them on Twitter, i did see the source of it a few days ago, if I come across it I'll add it here but I'm sure someone will find it for you before me. It basically the whole sort of leg thing all over again.

Fan artist is making them to be use for free (in exchange for✨EXPOSURE ✨). I think it start with foot on table by Amelia? You can see them on twitter tag #VTuberAssets and #Vtuber素材. Kson was shilling the tag on her morning news today.

The tags in pic is what she suggested, but then viewer told her the tag for that already exist, so she told them to use those.

Yeah, figured it was something fanmade. If it was Kiara who first used it the EN girls are pretty fast to pick up such things and make it into memes

Let me guess, same shitty rigger who rigs new Gura and Anya costume?

Can't go wrong with Vshojos like Zentraya or Vshojo Adjacent like Artemis and Snuffy.
Man, that’s sadism. Even by kiwi standards.

On Slav fox fuck up:
Second thing I don’t like about her showed up - her unfounded borderless self confidence.
It’s not about the fact of what she did, but the actual gull she has to break 4th wall like that. She doesn’t behave like a vtuber. She is a moderately successful twitch thot that happens to get to play a character for nijisanji. And she sucks at it.
The fact that she is Russian would have been a cherry on top if only she were more mellow. Alas it’s irrelevant just like the fact that it was Kson she was indirectly mentioning.

I still lie in wait for a proper onee-san type.

600~ is not totally atypical for NijiEN. If one of their livers is doing a stream that is not particularly interesting and is in a crowded timeslot, that's about what they'll get. With Wave 3 these lower numbers are going to be a bit more common due to the increased stream overlap. Nijisanji is ultimately probably fine with that - it's a viable number (hence why HoloID and Holostars are also still around) - though I do think it'd be wise for them to do what they've done in JP and slow down the EN expansion after wave 4. If Petra's comment about management not having further auditions planned out is true then that might be their strategy.
The thing is, because of NijiEN's position as their main branch in the western side of the industry, that numbers are not exactly kind of good. They are, after all, not only have to fight Hololive but also other indies/groups like VShoujo. If what you said about viewers overlap is true, wouldn't that mean NijiEN's numbers are not particularly good?

Yeah, I agree with this. Although she had break the unwritten rules of mentioning other VTubers' identities, her biggest sin during that stream as a corpo is mentioning thinga about other corpo that could be mistaken as a slander. And because of how anal Japanese corpo are about reputation and such, that's a big no no

Interesting numbers. No wonder Pekora is garnering lots of haters lately, her numbers are really good this year

Alternatively, it could be that KSon softblocked her account once she heard about the clip. After all, she doesn't really like people poking at her time as Coco.

Also, once again, Nina's biggest mistake is not talking about Coco, but saying things about other group/corpo that could be mistaken as a slander

Idk who started the trend, but I do know Kiara was first Hololive talent to upload their version/edit
Hate Kiara as much as you want, but when she hit, she did it really good

It's not like room mate talk is less yab than corpo talk, she basically went against the first and second commandments, if she gets a free pass it's only because she's so small that nobody cares enough
