Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

If you were some GRU spook and you saw some American man prancing around in an Admiral's uniform while everyone refers to him as a true and honest woman through gritted teeth would you do anything but point and laugh? The Americans are humiliating themselves far better than you ever could.
Not to mention we've replicated the early 1980s Soviet Politburo perfectly, a bunch of sickly, self-indulgent, and geriatric life-long politicians "running" the country while the economy stagnates, inflation surges and the debt becomes unmanageable.

Oh, and we have the empty shelves as the cherry on top.

I wonder if Gehenna ever gets tired of explaining this stuff over and over.
TBH, he usually talks three: establishment, progressives and tech hippies. Five plus countless is new to me. I do like his analysis, but the numbers just skyrocketed.

E: maybe the uniparty is number four? I thought it was establishment but maybe not. Im still missing five.

Trump Starts Media Group, 'Truth Social' Platform

Former President Donald Trump has announced the Trump Media & Technology Group, merging with Digital World Acquisition Corp. to become a publicly listed company with a potential valuation of up to $1.7 billion.

A new social media platform called Truth Social is set to launch in early 2022, to compete with the likes of Facebook and Twitter — two sites that have left the former president banned — along with a ''subscription video on demand service'' to rival Google's YouTube.

''I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,'' Trump wrote in the announcement Wednesday night. ''We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced.

''This is unacceptable.''

Trump calls this a fulfilling of a promise to create a conservative media competitor to combat the liberal activism against his administration and in the 2020 presidential campaign.

''I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon,'' Trump added. ''TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I'm excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech.

''Everyone asks me why doesn't someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!''

The subscription video-on-demand service will be called TMTG+.

''TMTG+ will feature 'non-woke' entertainment programming, news, podcasts, and more,'' according to the news release.

Trump has already launched class-action lawsuits against Big Tech companies for their responses to conservative views and speech.

''Truth Social is America's 'Big Tent' social media platform that encourages an open, free, and honest global conversation without discriminating against political ideology,'' the Truth Social website reads, allowing future users to register early for the initial wait list.

Lets see how political discourse in this country is going...

There were some counter protestors at the 'netflix walkout' over trannies seething and dilating.

Let;s go with the five then
1: The admin's current goal. They are underwater and thrashing, trying to get any sort of win at all. Their only real options are bad and so they are throwing everything they have at the wall and hoping something sticks. There is no real long-term end goal here anymore.

2: The Progs. The admin is weak, and so this one and the next three share the goal of usurping its power either de facto or de jure. The progs are in the weakest position relatively, since their only real power source is their rabid voting base. They lack any form of force multipliers but are also the hardest to get rid of. Their end goal is a bit more nebulous, mainly because they were partially controlled opposition under AOC, but she was unseated from her leadership position among them and so their current end goals focus around the rabid dogfighting that is finding a new leader.

3: The Establishment: Currently pushing basically every measure they can to solidify their power. They a \re rather aware of the Overton window shift and that the RINOs are slowly breaking off entirely. Their trust in their plan of puppeting Biden went out the window but they still occasionally work with the Admin when they can find common ground. Right now the focus is on the Infrastructure bill because it will pay off their truly horrifically massive debts. Even partnering with the Admin is worth it if they can, the problem is that they don't have the votes in either the House or Senate. They appear to be setting up a poison pill for the Progs, because they are actively trying to get Manchin and Sinema on board, but this will tank their support with the Progs and doom the bill in the House. Killing the bill will open up the Progs to being attacked in the midterms, letting the Establishment eek out some sort of win against an oncoming red wave.

4: Big tech/Businessmen. They have chosen the turtle strategy, fortifying themselves through playing both sides. Behind the scenes, they are trying to cozy back up to the RINOs to mixed success. If the Republicans win 2022, expect a lot of throwing the Democrats under the bus. This all goes towards one end game, staving off Trump's vengeance. At this point they have realized that the Democrats cannot protect them, but the damage they did will be -remembered-, so they are hoping to play both sides until a clear winner appears and try to make that winner not murder them.

5: The Democratic Apparatus. Reminder, an Apparatus in political terms is the thing that makes a political party function. It's your boots on the ground and minor beauracrats. Shockingly, they are kinda splitting with all of the above and are just fighting their own wars. The constant pressure by Republicans to look at election 'fortification' is rapidly draining several key ones' bank accounts and there is no word from on high of assistance. Each state has more or less been thrown to the wolves and is fighting its own isolated battle with no help from above. The only reason it's not a bloodbath is a similar split among Republicans due to Trump's active campaign to purge the RINOs.

As per always, all eyes on 2022. If the Republicans win there it means every problem the Democrats have right now gets ratched up to 11. So every single faction's end game is around trying to make that very real possibility to kill them outright.

Addendum: As to the "Countless smaller ones", due to the massive chaos of all the above, individual actors are all doing their own thing. Generally inline with their major group, but clearly acting on their own volition and to their own benefit. Determining what is an individual actor and what is a major group's move is sometimes difficult.

I wonder if Gehenna ever gets tired of explaining this stuff over and over.
It actually keeps me sharp, and is the reason my boss doesn't mind me being in here on company time. I keep having to think in the right terms, the right method, and it actually improves my work.

Well, well. So this is where his post-presidency net worth has been going to, eh? A mass media venture? This could be a very interesting little wrench thrown in the big tech monopoly knowing Trump's business acumen and what he's learned personally from his four years. And I'm doubly intrigued that he's finally spoken up about his own shot at a social media platform - knowing how many people who are utterly sick and tired of Facebook and Twitter, this could certainly go places where Gab and Parler couldn't.

Trump is on the offensive now. I anticipate this with a smile.

Welcome to what happens when chaos reigns. Eventually, groups begin to splinter off or new groups begin to form. The phrase "It gets worse before it gets better" applies here, as this shit can become -fractal- at a certain point with new groups spawning additional groups off them, and more going off those new groups. It's a very, very bad sign for a political party when it starts occurring. Usually defined in the history books with phrases like "The coming end" and "Death throes".

So what's the end game?
There's a lot of money to be made on the decomposing corpse of a dying superpower.

Democrats in general are fighting for control of it and different factions are each putting together how they want to divy up it. And with that, comes both money and power to influence the world.

Republicans, like McConnell, are playing opposition to grift until their clock is up. They have no intention of stopping the rot or being a viable alternative. They decide things on a scale: if it doesn't hurt me politically enough, how much money can I get from it? They were content with Trump losing in 2016 because of the money that would flood in from the grift. If they are actually trying, God help us.

It's always about money and power.

So what's the end game?
For the left in general?

Power, of course. The radicals are Post-Modernists (Marxism-as-pseudoreligion) and they literally worship power as an ends to itself.

To that end, at least one goal is to prevent a repeat of 2020 AND 2016 -- i.e., subvert our process so they don't have to worry about losing power ever again. The election of 2020 was the result of them wanting to prevent another 2016 by any means necessary, next up is them trying to prevent the absurdly badly done 2020 rigging by any means they can, Ideally by making it literally illegal to vote them out in some way. Legally mandated permanent mail in voting, for example. Remember that in 2018, 2017, they lost their judge that was coming out of retirement just to keep the GOP from being allowed to contest elections via some stupid agreement they made that said judge forced them to stick to for decades. So they NEED some fresh subversion before the GOP realizes that yes, they actually can contest elections again.

They obviously have some long term goals of some fashion, and that's all the list of things they're pushing for. The Great Reset seems to be a pipe dream by idiots, but said idiots are very powerful and influential idiots, so that might be a thing. They have just enough of a god complex to think they can totally just decide how a few billion people in the West should redesign their lives to live under the dictates of central planning, which should be hilarious, as long as you're part of the ragtag bunch of merry misfits who refuse to move into the 50 story arcologies they have planned for you to live in.

However, everything else can be pushed back to later, as long as they successfully find some way to prevent themselves from losing power in 2022 / 2024. Expect them to do something stupid, sneaky, and disgusting as hell to try and do so, especially if they lose in 2022. Hopefully this time Trump has legal teams with legal hotlines in every state ready to react to their shit, with local organizers to make sure people know who to call. (With them being ready to deal with the flood of Antifa goons trying to DDOS the phonelines on election day.)

In certain PVP mmorpgs, we call it a death spiral, as failure begets further failure, each of which depresses turnout which causes more failure. They have very very well known symptoms, and I imagine political death spirals have the same.

Hold that thought until he doesn’t get hammered by colos, AWS/Azure or wherever this is running.

I’m interested in seeing if it all plays out like you’re saying, but thanks for explaining the faction explosion.

"Follow the Science" is almost like a prayer anymore. It's fucking wild seeing a cult be forced into a country in real time.
Especially when "the science" and "experts" are following a political agenda:

Take a break, at least a week, preferably without access to the internet. Go do something fun, take a vacation, spend some time to yourself. Take it from someone whose job is politics, you cannot stay immersed in it without becoming burnt out and deeply misanthropic. Everyone needs to take some time to themselves, outside of the muck every once in a while.
That's what I been doing. It's only when I go to look at this thread do I feel like that.

Under most circumstances, I'd say the Democrats are doomed and we'd be looking at two decades of uninterrupted Republican reign. It is a condemnation of the modern iteration of the Republican party that I cannot. Though Trump is doing his best to bring it about.

That's what I been doing. It's only when I go to look at this thread do I feel like that.
This thread is actively chronicling the fall of an age and the ushering in of what comes after. It shows, in gritty detail, the horrors of what that means and the cost in real human lives it shall toll. Is it any wonder that it would be here you see how dark it is before the dawn?

saying his goal is to make NJ the California of the east coast.
lmao he should be sent to the nuthouse ASAP. California is huge, with forests, deserts, the tech capital of the USA as well as the country's film making center, boasts a top ranked state university system, an Ivy League university and a bunch of decent private universities, has 800 miles of beachfront coast land and two huge valleys of rich farmland inland (and you can throw NJ into either one and lose it) and this faggot thinks NJ can match that? He has cancer of the brain, I tell you what.
