Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

They are really getting desperate.

If I actually encounter some sped trying to tell me the economy is in freefall because we are 'buying too much' I might flip my lid and wind up on youtube cuz god damn this is the most exceptional shit I've ever heard.
The economy is contracting. People, regardless of what the business media are saying, is starting to panic. They're beginning to hoard as supply deliveries slow down and as the dollar goes down. They rather own physical goods than stay in the dollar. The smart ones are buying metals, land, stocks, and crypto.

Razorfist rants on simps simping for Sinema. Also goes into her past political history.

I too am curious about that Hannity phone call clip though
I think after seeing those aborted fetus photos that I fully support the heartbeat bill at the emotional level. I'm sure that was the point, but I was never fully against it, I just thought three weeks might be too short of a window. But no, that's reasonable.

This is quite the thing to behold. I guess after a few years of lying and getting away with it, Biden's handlers feel they don't have to be subtle anymore. I remember talking to a left leaning colleague around this time last year and he was saying something like 'I think Trump has completely lost his mind'. I laughed in his face. When he asked me why, I just shook my head and asked him if he's heard his guy speak in the past year. We had an awkward stare down then he walked away. I recall thinking 'damn, this guy has been broken, he used to be able to handle all kinds of banter. Now he's the emotional equivalent of a teenage girl'.

I never liked them but it's still kinda sad watching half the population go into a state of complete delusion.

“We Don’t Need Congress”

Did yall miss mud barbie saying that the white house will proceed with it's climate agenda without legislation.
I presume the same could be said about was against China over Taiwan?

Authored by Dave DeCamp via AntiWar.com,

There is an ongoing debate between centrist Democrats and progressives in Washington over giving President Biden war powers to go to war with China in the case that Beijing invades Taiwan, Foreign Policy reported on Wednesday.

The centrists are in favor of expanding Biden’s authorities even though any military action against China risks nuclear war, while the progressives favor the current policy. One Democrat in the House, Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA), the House Foreign Affairs Committee vice-chair, made the case to give Biden the war powers in an op-ed for The Washington Post.

Luria’s concern is that if China moves to take Taiwan, getting authorization from Congress would take too long. "So if you can’t act quickly enough, China overwhelmingly takes Taiwan," she told Foreign Policy.

Luria frames the need for authorization to fight China as necessary to "de-escalate" the situation despite the obvious risks. "Without the ability for the president to react immediately, any delay would prevent the United States from responding, at a lower level of conflict, to repel an invasion and de-escalate the situation," she wrote in the Post.

Republican hawks have already drawn up legislation that would give Biden the authority to go to war with China over Taiwan. "My Republican colleagues introduced the Taiwan Invasion Prevention Act in February to grant the president the authority to act against an invasion of Taiwan and prevent a fait accompli. This act is a good starting point to address a legal dilemma," Luria said in the Post.

The Taiwan Invasion Prevention Act would authorize "the President to use the Armed Forces to defend Taiwan against a direct attack by China’s military, a taking of Taiwan’s territory by China, or a threat that endangers the lives of civilians in Taiwan or members of Taiwan’s military."

Matt Duss, an aide to Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT), told Foreign policy that the current policy of not committing to defending Taiwan, known as "strategic ambiguity," shouldn’t be changed.

I had someone get on a soapbox (at me and some others) about how "Americans don't appreciate how good they have it/ buy too much/ need to learn to live with less", then not even 10 minutes later bitch loudly about how they couldn't find a product they wanted to buy.

After listening to people like this I am beginning to understand why people go on violent rampages.

Jen Psaki must be taking a very nicely timed break today because her deputy (Karine Jean-Pierre) is doing press conferences today instead of her, and its... not going well. She kinda looks like Lori Lightfoot btw.

Both her and Psaki have the same deal where they avoid eye contact, shuffle papers and just act like they're not even listening to the question. If you were to watch this muted, you'd think this was a woman getting grilled by her man about where she was last night.

I was under the impression that Uruguay is one of the most economically stable countries in South America and whiter than most states in the US. But I could be confusing it with somewhere else.
Well let me clarify, yes we are among the most stable countries of our region and yes we are (probably) whiter than most US states, however that doesn't mean we are perfect, crime is still an issue, thankfuly crimes like murder and rape have been going down every year to the point where whenever one of those happens it makes it to the national news, you will never see a beheaded body lying on the street like Tijuana or something, however other crimes like mugging have been increasing in recent years wich has led to increase in support for more flexible self defense laws and weapon ownership.
I should note that most of these things happen in the capital and a few other big cities, more than half of the population of our country lives in the capital and other coastal cities, the other half lives in the interior where it's really safe with the downside of low economic activity so there's low development.

The long story short is that we still have issues to fix but we are doing much better than our neighbours and we are improving our condition with each passing year, at least for now.

Honestly, would you have a good answer to that? My answer would've been "That sounds fake as fuck. Who made that shit up?"
I'm assuming I'm speaking off the cuff, which is why it's not so articulate, so I probably would have said something about how geography needs to have more practical applications like teaching local cross streets and then expanding to how to use longitude and latitude to improve map-reading skills.

Bunch of dumbass online acquaintances, mainly. It's one of the more common thought-terminating cliches they resort to whenever you speak against MSM narratives.
I usually get that I'm a "conspiracy theorist" while providing citations for everything I say then being shut down because CNN said something different
