I actually sat through the whole video, having only heard of the guy due to the NYT article, and it really felt like a 2 + Blue = Unicorn argument. Like he read Unabomber but isn't intelligent enough to actually understand any of it.

Looking at his channel, unless the video is about a more popular creator, he gets about 2-6k views a video. I guess being a failed YouTuber is better than working a real job in his eyes. Better question, why should socialists even care about a fragment of the population? Homosexuality (true gay and lesbians) make up like if we are generous 2% of the population and people are still deeply divided over the issue, especially in the working class (especially in Hispanic and American Black communities). Hell, race is a deeply divisive topic in of itself and as much as they attempt to make an anti-white coalition, homosexuality is a still big taboo in non-white communities still due to them either still being deeply religious or very traditional.

Most socialists obsessed with LGBT stuff are just liberals who like the leftist aesthetic.
