Disagree, there was moralising and outrage, but the "info" wasn't fake. They used kids to promote their paedophilic film written by some Black "Frenchwoman" when there's plenty adults and make-up magic at their disposal.

From what I understand, the film is actually critical of sexualization and peer pressure placed upon girls. The infamous dance scene you might have seen in a viral clip is the climax with the adult audience visibly uncomfortable before (after the clip cuts) the main character has a breakdown and runs away. Unfortunately, it seems that a lot of critics on the internet don't actually realize such details.

Even so, you may find that Cuties is still worth criticizing all the same for a couple of reasons. First, Netflix did market the film in a sexual way. Compare the Netflix poster to the original French poster. Second, in order for the film to be created, the production put child actresses through the very sexualization it's critical of. And it's not just the child actresses seen in the film, but also the ones (hundreds, I believe) that went through auditioning as well.
