Jim Sterling / James "Stephanie" Sterling / James Stanton/Sexton & in memoriam TotalBiscuit (John Bain) - One Gaming Lolcow Thread

The theme is: laziness.

Jim doesn't have the camera on for those "Squirty Plays" (and Britbongs around to explain what's the joke in that name?), and they're ultra low-effort videos without scripting and minimal editing. So he just takes a promotional image or a screencap, puts some text over it, and calls it a day.
I get that for why he's absent in the thumbnails, but the fact there's been two...erotically charged...videos in a row is what has me curious; normally Squirty Plays are just whatever bargain bin trash he can get his trotters on.

As for the Squirty Play name, all I can tell you is it likely ties into Jim's juvenile sense of humour, where it sounds vaguely sexual but also a squirt is just a little bit so adequately describes the cursory glances he gives these games.

Those certainly look like bargain bin trash so in that at least he's consistent.

I postulate he went with two "erotic" (and I say that using the loosest possible sense of the word) games not because of his analytics, but because he's sinking ever deeper into the mire of degeneracy that is the gendercult. The more his reservations about keeping his content "respectable" get eroded by the constant asspats and people like LKD telling him he's so Brave and Stunning for wearing a ballgag on camera, the more likely we are to see that sort of shit whenever he's not dropping lukewarm, re-heated takes on weeks-old controonversies.

The way I see it, we have three distinct possibilities:
  1. Coincidence: It just so happened two shovelware games in a row had a porno vibe.
  2. Degeneracy: Whatever semblance of professionalism Jim clung to is now gone and he's being as unabashedly awful as he can.
  3. Desperation: He thinks posting horny vids --not of himself, thank God-- might re-ignite interest in his dying channel.
The sad thing about Jim is any (or all) of these could be true. He gives so little of a fuck about his output quality these days it's anybody's guess.
Am I tarding out or did he just lose a massive amount of subs? I thought he was around 865K, turns out it's 856K. Or maybe I just came down with dyslexia?
Nope he's been consistently losing about 2k a week for a while now. If you ever want to double-check just visit his Socialblade.

About the subscriber number, that he no longer loses the 1K on the day his video comes out doesn't mean that's not when most of the loss happens as someone suggested. In fact since it's incredibly unlikely he loses exactly 1K subscribers a week you should expect the day of the loss to slowly shift over time.

Say he lost 800 sub's on Monday and...what's 200 / 6 ? Whatever, say he lost the other 200-or-so over the rest of the week, there's still no guarantee he'd go down the 1000 on Monday, only good odds.

For example, still using the example above, if he sat at 2 801 at the start of Monday, he'd reach 2 001 at the end, and go down the 1K on the next day, Tuesday; If he had started the week at 2 851, it would have been the next day over, Wednesday, and so on and so forth.

But if he had lost 1 000 sub's on Monday because the video was particularly awful, it shifts the entire thing a day back and makes him lose the 1K on Monday.

Math' is just well-ordered chaos.

I suppose this shouldn't be too hard to test. Jim usually releases only one video per week, at a set day.

Hey, @Oliver Onions! Since you're keeping track of his sub count, how about noting how many subs he has the day before a new Jimquisition drops, and then checking again 48 hours later. This should give us a much more accurate view of how many people he loses per video, since most of a video's engagement happens within the first 48 hours, before it gets buried in people's subscription feeds.

I might start doing a weekly sub breakdown in a bit more detail --noting what days the 1k drop updates occur and any videos that were released-- could help us chart the losses a bit more accurately over time.

I think @Nixxit 's analysis is pretty spot on though, this isn't an exact science, and I predict the specific days are gonna become even more random in future as the subs repulsed enough to actively unsub thin out and it becomes a more languid kind of bleed.

If only people hadn't cried to YouTube and got them to change how sub numbers work, this would all be so much easier.

Yo. guys, I think I just figured out something. But I'm kinda late. ~10 pages ago somebody mentioned Deltarune having its 2-nd chapter released and Jim not mentioning it. I think I just understood why. Look at Deltarune first. It's a funny small game. It's quirky, designes are whack and the plot is all over the place. But it works.
Not only all these are things Jim is not, it's what Jim tries to be, but will never achieve.

I mentioned earlier that Jim should consider going the vtuber path but I think being one would be too much work for him and too wholesome. The blob wants people to see him in his full degenerate glory. I am putting my money on him getting an OnlyFans account by early next year.
He can start a mukbang channel while he's at it too. Let Jim be the successor to Nikocado Avocado once Nick eventually croaks.

Jim's already a bona fide lolcow, so he should just own it since it'll probably earn him more money than his wrestling gigs nobody watches.

Its pretty obvious at this stage it isn't trooning out that is killing his show. If that were it the drop would have stopped months back. The big issue is his show is dogshit.
It's also worth noting, the beginning of the drop was before his trooning out becoming evident on his channel (it actually boosted him) and therefore had nothing to do with it, it just happened spontaneously. I did a break down of it here. Since I did that, he's only continued to trend downward as a fairly steady thing. No singular events doing fuck all for him, good or bad.

Edit: read like I had a stroke

Jim has finally transcended into a true Twitterfag.

Shitting on people for having fun.

I mean how dare they? It's not like they seem infinitely more pleasant to be around than Jim. Jim works hard. Not easy applying that garish makeup every morning so you can yammer on about everything you hate in life.

How can a bunch of people throw a party if they have nobody to hang out with? He's just jealous he didn't get to dance with the dinosaur.
Pretty projection-y that he thinks these people are lonely friendless disgusting losers that nobody wants to hang out with.

I fully understand the irony at play here.
