@Drain Todger did you try knocking on someone’s door? You can generally get a professor’s schedule from a clerk and just barge in. I know because I’ve done it myself.

Talking to someone in the private industry is tougher, I’ll give you that. But it really isn’t that hard if you have any level of connection. It’s not going to be harder than trying to reach out to some random proletarian.

Continuing the topic of "saint scientists":

This divide between holy science and unwashed massed began only in 20th century, as the science began to be heavily subsidized by the government (think Manhattan Project). Because the science became highly specialized and certain branches of science require serious money investment, it started to be really hard "to do your own research" in certain fields.

However, with the specialization comes very serious disadvantage: narrowness of one's knowledge. Therefore, if a person is a highly specialized scientist in something that is not directly related to COVID, let's say finding a cure for pancreatic cancer, then he has no real advantage over someone with enough time on his hands and at least basic understanding of biology. I would also suspect that a busy scientist is more likely to fall for the mainstream platitudes, just because it's easier for him than to sit and pore over newest research not related to his line of work.

This cult of experts is clearly a replacement for religion. However, if you are educated enough you realize that the scientific method not only doesn't produce an unassailable truth, but also it was invented to produce "truths" that are easy to assail.

Now I truly understand why Tradition with its never changing scriptures is superior and why science can never replace it. How can you believe in something that is ever changing, never ceasing to undermine yesterdays certainties. You can only take it as a practice to find new technologies and improvements of everyday life, and it will work only if its effects are under constant scrutiny.

Meanwhile, the zealots of Scientism will tell you than any close look at Pfizer trial data is a heresy...

Speaking of "saint scientists", there's an article about Fauxci aka Fraudci aka Fauci being involved in the "BeagleGate".

BeagleGate Strikes Fauci

By Ned Barnett

It takes a lot to mobilize a truly bi-partisan group of Congressional Reps to take action, especially against something being done by the Biden administration’s golden boy of COVID mis-information, Dr. Anthony Fauci. However, twenty-four of these elected federal officials who wrote to the head of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, demanding that Fauci make a full accounting of a nearly half-million-dollar grant given to a research lab in Tunisia to fund the torture and murder of … wait for it … at least 44 beagle puppies.
Yeah, I saw the list, and while more than half of the Congressional Reps are Republicans, nine are Democrats, including Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), one of the most powerful, vocal and partisan Representatives in Congress. Apparently, opposition to the cruel, tax-funded extermination of adorable, inoffensive beagles is finally something that both parties can agree on. After all, 38.4% of American households have a dog as part of the family.
233316_5_.jpg

Some news reports suggest that beagle research may have been conducted in Tunisia and at least three other off-shore locations over the past three or four years. However, this story is just starting to emerge, and while several prominent UK-based newspapers are already covering it, American media – starting with The Hill and Newsweek – are just beginning to focus on it. As with many other scandal-ridden Washington stories, Beagle-Gate will likely dribble out over a period of weeks or months. It may remain “alive” (unlike those mutilated beagle pups) through the mid-term Congressional elections.
Should this story find traction with the media and the public, expect a bi-partisan tidal wave of support for the inquiry into this truly awful story of taxpayer-funded animal cruelty on a wholesale basis.
Why was this allowed to happen? As the news media keeps telling Americans, “we all have to follow the science.” This, according to two different Presidents – Trump and Biden – as well as their on-again off-again, sometimes-favorite COVID mouthpiece, Dr. Anthony Fauci, MD (which in his case may stand for “Murders Dogs”).

I'm well aware. It's the idealism-realism divide, and it's the actual problem underlying much of today's political sparring.

A lot of people mistakenly use idealism to mean optimism and realism as a synonym for pessimism, but that's not what they actually mean.

Look at the door to your room. What do you see? A door, right?

To an idealist, reality is internally constructed. The door appears to exist because it is being represented by their visual cortex in their brain, and then subsequently interpreted as a door. Were it not for this process of their brain assigning meaning to it, the door would not be a door. It would be a wood rectangle with a lever sticking out of it, and perhaps much less than that.

To a realist, reality is externally constructed. They see a fucking door.

Try applying this framework to just about every problem of woke-ism, and you'll see exactly what I mean.

That's just it. Nobody should "trust science". Science isn't a religious belief system. It is a tool and a process of rational inquiry that anyone can use. You don't need other people's permission to be a scientist. All you need is to start doing science. In ancient times, scientists and philosophers weren't people with degrees and badges and titles and the like. They were educated people just doing what came naturally to an inquisitive mind. The modern process of credentialing everything has created a false division between scientists and everyone else. If you're trying to create a new age religion, that's perfect, because it demarcates what is vulgar and what is sanctified. If you're trying to do science, it's terrible, because it makes it hard to cross-pollinate ideas.

When I started digging into COVID-19, what I found most striking about all of this was just how hard it was to contact real scientists and doctors and offer them information or ask them pertinent questions. Some of them had Facebook profiles, and that was basically the only place they were reachable, so I grudgingly made a Facebook account to try and contact them. Others were on closed forums that basically required proof of educational status and institutional affiliation to join. Many had university email accounts that were unreachable and basically abandoned. Jump up and down and scream from the rooftops, and you may get the attention of one PhD out of a hundred. There was no neutral ground, no meeting place where scientists and non-scientists could mingle.

The insularity of the scientific community is, in itself, shocking. Think about how easy they would be to manipulate by the people pulling the strings, waving around grant money. It's an inherently corruptible system.
you do know where you are right? people here have gotten leaked calls of bankrupcy procedings and lolcows bank account info. i'm sure just finding a professor's phone number is less of a hassle than that,

hell during my spergier day i'd call companies CFOs to complain about their business practices and i only have misdemeanors on my record for that!

Another thing that really pisses me off about the local Branch Covidians: They learned a new word, "false balance". Every single non-Branch-Covidian voice on any larger news outlet is treated as an example of "false balance", outrageously suggesting dissent where there obviously couldn't and shouldn't be, and it results in almost religious anger over heresy being said publically without extreme counterattacks. People are actually pissed that even the slightest contrarian opinion is allowed to have a platform. These people want the media to be even more biased and controlled.
Just in case anyone still believes that there's going to be a legitimate look back on wether all the bullshit of the past two years was justified. It won't happen. It's dogma, it's orthodoxy, and it is divine justice.

ANOTHER KIKE LIE. Do retards like you really think the 1980s GOP really cared enough about the mentally ill to close down the institutions, the institutions that had profit margins as good as fucking cigarettes? Is that what the GOP of Reagan's day was known for, caring more about people over profit? because that sounds more like the hippies and carter faggots who literally preached it as a cause the same way they did anti-nuclear power or amnesty for farm workers. YOU FUCKING IDIOT
lol, calm down. I never fucking said or implied anything you are writing here whatsoever.

Meanwhile Down Under, one Aussie actress fight for her life after she got a stroke thanks to AstraZeneca vaccine.

An Australian actress was fighting for life in ICU after suffering a stroke caused by the AstraZeneca vaccine's rare blood-clotting side effect.

Melle Stewart, 40, received her first dose of the Oxford-made vaccine on May 24 in London, where she lives with her husband, and fellow actor, Ben Lewis.

Thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome is an extremely rare condition involving low blood platelet levels and only 156 cases of the illness have been reported from nearly 13million doses of AstraZeneca administered in Australia.

Of those, only 8 have died, and it's still unclear whether those could be attributed to underlying conditions.

The chances of suffering this rare side effect are very low and occur in around 4-6 people in every million after being vaccinated, according to the Australian government website.

Two weeks later after Ms Stewart received the jab, she woke up with a strange feeling on the right side of her body.

As she tried to get out of bed, she collapsed and was rushed to hospital, where her condition quickly deteriorated as she lost all movement in the right side of her body and her ability to speak.

Let's see how the MSM will turn this when it'll be a big Hollywood actor who'll be in a similar situation.

So I caught an interview on local radio with a Branch Covidian virologist, Peter Horby

I thought I'd list all the easily provable lies he dropped during the program

In discussing the UK's booster roll out the good professor claimed that 'the vast majority' of Covid infections were among high school age children. I've read the same thing repeated in the MSM

1635080224333.png

From the UK's Covid-19 surveillance report we can see that 458,000 cases in the 4 week period were among adults over the age of 18 and 397,000 were among adolescents and children under the age of 18.

The professor went on to claim that the vaccines continue to provide '95% protection' against infection.

From the same table we see that 362,000 cases occurred in vaccinated adults, 80% of the total. Further that the vaccinated are anything from 1.5 to 3 times more likely to report Covid infections than the unvaccinated.

The professor stated that 'an enormous number' of unvaccinated pregnant women were suffering serious illness from Covid requiring admission to ICU and intubation, and all pregnant women should immediately be vaccinated as many of them were dying leaving their newborn babies motherless. He claimed to have seen 'many such cases' himself.

1635080855205.png

587 unvaccinated adults presented for emergency care in the 4 week period in the 18-39 age group

1635081064831.png

65 unvaccinated adults died in the 18-39 age group. Even assuming that half the people who died are pregnant, and that's a big fucking assumption, 30 people in a country of 70 million is not exactly an avalanche.

The professor further claimed that pregnant women are at severe risk of Covid from having a repressed immune system due to pregnancy, that the mother treats the baby like a transplant recipient treats a new organ. This is of course another lie

The study confirmed immune features of pregnancy that were already known. For instance, the scientists saw that natural killer cells and neutrophils have enhanced action during pregnancy. The researchers also uncovered several previously unappreciated features of how the immune system changes, such as the finding that activity of the STAT5 signaling pathway in CD4+T cells progressively increases throughout pregnancy on a precise schedule, ultimately reaching levels much higher than in nonpregnant individuals. The STAT5 pathway is involved in helping another group of immune cells, regulatory T cells, to differentiate. Interestingly, prior research in animals has indicated that regulatory T cells are important for maintaining pregnancy.

It is well known that healthy pregnant women have enhanced immunity during their pregnancy. This is the reason that, for example, sufferers of autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis will typically go into remission during and after a pregnancy and why pregnant women have always been advised to avoid any vaccinations.

Professor Horby is a virologist at Oxford University and one of the most credentialed and well known experts on Covid in the UK. He told 3 easily provable bald faced lies during his interview. He is a liar and anything he says should be immediately dismissed by all non retarded people.

Meantime the boosters are being rolled out

A booster shot of the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine was found to be 95.6 per cent effective against covid-19 in a randomised trial, the two companies have announced. The trial involved more than 10,000 people who had received two doses of the vaccine in earlier clinical trials. The median age of the group was 53 and the median time between the second and third doses was 11 months.

95% effective? You know I'm pretty sure I've heard that somewhere before.

Published in May 2020.

The messaging has changed. The narrative that pregnant women are at severe risk from Covid only started late last year, just as the vaccines were rolling out. It's now become a crescendo.

LONDON (Reuters) - Pregnant women are no more likely to become severely ill with COVID-19 than other women, according to a preliminary study in Britain, but most expectant mothers who do develop serious illness tend to be in the later stages of pregnancy.

The study was conducted when the far more virulent alpha strain was dominant.

The drive to jab expectant mothers is one of the creepier aspects of the Branch Covidian religion.

beagles lab testing.jpg
Beagle Freedom Project is a non-profit animal rescue and advocacy organization and the world’s leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research. BFP is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of animals used in testing and research and subjected to other forms of unique cruelty, abuse and neglect. BFP strives to end this cruelty through its educational programs, campaign initiatives and lobbying efforts to make the world a better, safer and healthier place for both animals and people alike.

California has long been alone in requiring blood donor animals to live in captive, closed colonies, where they’re bled every couple of weeks to save other animals’ lives — and make their keepers money.
wtf yo

The drive to jab expectant mothers is one of the creepier aspects of the Branch Covidian religion.
Side effects of getting the jab while pregnant are starting to appear but very few places are reporting it. Apparently pregnant women get spooked when it comes to reports of a bunch of seemingly healthy newborns dropping dead within 72 hours of being born with conditions like pulmonary hemorrhage, which used to really only happen to preterm and underweight babies.

Scientifically speaking what would happen if you locked a scientist's head in a cage with starving lab rats?
The mask was closing on his face. The wire brushed his cheek. And then -- no, it was not relief, only hope, a tiny fragment of hope. Too late, perhaps too late. But he had suddenly understood that in the whole world there was just one person to whom he could transfer his punishment -- one body that he could thrust between himself and the rats. And he was shouting frantically, over and over.

'Do it to Rochelle! Do it to Rochelle! Not me! Rochelle! I don't care what you do to her. Tear her face off, strip her to the bones. Not me! Rochelle! Not me!'

95% effective? You know I'm pretty sure I've heard that somewhere before.
You'll hear it again in another 6 months or so for booster #4.

People call it "longterm side effects", and what they mean is issues and unforeseen consequences that are only really noticable after a longer time. Like a disruption of natural immune responses to other viruses. Something that isn't really tested for in the wider population, and that isn't really noticable for healthy young people over summer. The Branch Covidians, unwilling to actually argue that, just go out and say that "longterm side effects" means something different and thus they can't appear with vaccines. All the side effects appear just after injection and go away fast. Insert smugface.
Is there a language difference here? I've only seen "long term effects" on my end; no "side".
Others were on closed forums that basically required proof of educational status and institutional affiliation to join.
Walled gardens, man. Like has already been pointed out, sometimes it's easier to find their contact info the same way we do for cows than it is the do it the "correct" way.

I remember this from the "New atheism" days. I really think that's when the idea of "Showing both sides isn't appropriate" came from.

Don't kid yourself, this place is just as full of crazies and morons.

I mean, they let me post.
It depends on the crazies that you can stand. Qanon Boomers are the funny kind of crazy and while they shit up discussion, you can kinda talk to them. Trannies and commies just don't interact, they accuse you of shit that's insane and ignore any source for any information counter to their world view.
