I don't normally point out indie VTubers in this thread, but this one has an interesting enough idea that I feel I should. I found this VTuber with a Windows 95 aesthetic and a low poly style model (think PS1 or N64 graphics) called Poly Alphanet. Her debut is a slideshow done in an ancient version of Microsoft Powerpoint. The glitchy voice could get a bit grating, and she seems a bit awkward on her debut, but it's an interesting idea coming from a scene that is usually low effort and I think it deserves attention.

She also has an early web styled Geocities knockoff website. I really love this aesthetic and I hope it's not wasted.

I do watch the funny ones because they are funny. I don't care if they are girls or guys, I just haven't seen a guy that is entertaining enough to draw my attention. I might watch anyone once, just to see what their shtick is. I only watch them more than once if they are actually entertaining, because they are primarily entertainers, first and foremost. I enjoy Gura's random thought tangents and memelord under-the-radar yabe comments (and not her rhombus-head rigging, that's for sure). I like Amelia's creativity, acidic wit and salty outbursts. I appreciate Botan's supreme FPS skills and lighthearted giggles (often while effortlessly POI-ing an opponent with a frag grenade). Pippa is always guaranteed to elicit a smirk when she goes off on Bird Prisoner for interrupting her. Most of the Vtubers have something to offer, it's just a matter of finding something that piques your personal interests. Don't like? Don't watch.

If you "enjoy this hobby too" [citation needed], then maybe come here and share your own interests and Vtubers you happen to enjoy. Who do you like to watch? Tell us. Don't ask questions that are obviously phrased to elicit negative responses, because it's a weak sauce effort and not very conducive to actual conversation. The reason I asked my question was to dispell misinformation about vtubers. I don't think people find Gura cute in the same way that a baby is cute. Null is wrong. When people say that an anime girl is "cute" they never mean "that girl is reminds me of an underage person" and I think that a distinction should be made. People shouldn't be afraid to say that a big feature of adult female vtubers is their attractiveness, even if it isn't the reason they watch them.
