The tech situation was always hilarious at SA because Lowtax was so up his own ass, all he could ever get were incompetent admins.
Any real admin (including our Dear Leader) told him "get off of the old software, it's completely obsolete - migrate to something newer, stable, and without all of this custom fuckery" but as soon as he heard anything like "it'll probably cost $20,000" he'd shut down instantly, like that was even a lot of money for him. Anyone who told him "no, staying on this platform is good and totally smart" would get hired and you'd get situations like Radium getting paid $250,000 over 5 years and couldn't even get search working.
