I don't normally point out indie VTubers in this thread, but this one has an interesting enough idea that I feel I should. I found this VTuber with a Windows 95 aesthetic and a low poly style model (think PS1 or N64 graphics) called Poly Alphanet. Her debut is a slideshow done in an ancient version of Microsoft Powerpoint. The glitchy voice could get a bit grating, and she seems a bit awkward on her debut, but it's an interesting idea coming from a scene that is usually low effort and I think it deserves attention.


She also has an early web styled Geocities knockoff website. I really love this aesthetic and I hope it's not wasted.

Yo this is goooooood. Some real originality in here, putting out something truly new and fresh.

On the HoloEN Amongus, my favorite moment was seeing how Ame didn't buy any of Calis ''im new'' bullshit and being a constant pain in the ass to her. (Watched from her POV)

The only thing that made me raise an eyebrow was the pronoun section, but I'm gonna assume it is for the sake of keyfabe

I'd say that's stupidly overambitious for an unestablished group but who knows how many talented people are willing to throw themselves at working with Hololive.
Still, I expect in 2 years they'll probably only have the lobby system and basic avatars

It sounds like they want the main game to be like Genshin/Breath of the Wild/Minecraft combined which will take a lot longer

Lmao are you guys honestly complaining about "ugh not another EN server tour again" because, for one, I do not look back to the "Sora, tiptoeing around alone to try and engage with someone" past fondly.
Or even better, "I'll have to ask mane-chan about talking to x-senpai, she must be so busy this week with her dance lessons/endurance streams, who knows maybe next year we will collab and dig a hole in meinkra for an hour"

Agreed and we will see. And I have this sudden somber thought when reading about that. By the time that game come out, will I still care about Hololive as much as I do now? Will my remaining favorite still around then for me to care and excite about the game? A bit of doomer moment, but Coco does teach me that anything can happen when you least expected.

That's probably one of the reasons they are doing this, if Hololive becomes a brand that spans mediums there is less chance that the company implodes if the bubble bursts. Luckily for them they are Japan based, probably the best place to be if you are looking to find a bunch of competent programmers who are willing to work themselves to death without complaining. Sakurai is on break now right? They can have him come and teach the devs how to plug themselves into an IV drip for ultimate efficiency.
