Valuing fond memories would be the past and/or external world putting constraints on how he perceives reality, and at this point I think he'd literally rather die.

One thing I noticed about Digi a while ago is that by being so openly controversial, he can begin relationships with a lot of assumptions which usually build up over time. If you know about loli-gate and the shit he said on TDS and still interact with him, he knows you are willing to cut people (him) a lot of slack when it comes to personal expectations. Even if he couldn't put it into words, I think Digi realized that by being really brazen about his bad behavior he could filter out people who would not be down for his lifestyle, and this is him pushing that to it's furthest extent. After burning Gib like this, no sane human with any sense of self would touch Conrad with a ten foot pole, and I think that's the point.

He purged everyone who challenged his horse-shit, and now enabling him is not enough, he needs people to be so obsessively, irrationally on his side that he can actively harm them and still expect obedience. Napsy trying to salvage the relationship as Digi publicly rakes them over the coals is as good an example as we're going to get of what Conrad is going for. He'll keep pushing for more and more control until he ends up totally alone, and after a while he won't be there either.

This is just the ending of Monster if Johan was an egomaniacal pothead.

It's not that he lacks self-awareness, it's that at the moment it felt good to shit on Gibbontake, particularly on a topic Digi's painfully aware he's lacking in himself so it was the first thing that came to his mind. I'd call him a projecting, spiteful cunt but that's a more feminine description than he deserves.

There is significant pleasure in seeing Ben/Ekon/etc ruffle feathers to bring about even the smallest bit of internet justice.

Also hilarious seeing the trans people argue amongst themselves to figure out if any of this inane bullshit can be excused for hurting their sensitive feelings. Curious if there will be a slightly larger patreon dip the next few months from more trannys realizing he's an asshole they don't want representing them and who doesn't deserve their money.

That's the funny thing, same as his surface level adoption of the golden witch name and persona, he could never be bothered to pronounce his new channel persona correctly. Mind you, I don't expect anyone to speak old norse, but he constantly says "Yigg" instead of the correct "Igg" as in "Pig" since the Y in "Yggdrasil" has no other altering vowel component.

While this is of course a minor gripe, it's emblematic of Digi's whole shallow no effort hedonism philosophy in life. He never challenges himself or goes even a micrometer beyond his scope, as he already has figured it all out, according to him. He is nothing more than a variation of the "MCU/Funko Pop Consoomer" meme, just that the waves he rides on aren't lead by the current mainstream pop culture du jour, but obscure aesthetics and fandoms that make him appear unique or interesting.

In other words, he is the kid that would wear a Joy Division shirt without having listened to a second of their work. I also have the sneaking suspicion that many of his takes on japanese animators were regurgitated verbatim from sakugabooru comment sections, to be honest.

I definitely pronounce it as "wiggers" rather than "yiggers" or "iggers".
