I'm not sure what to believe, so I'm just throwing ideas out there. It's hard to really narrow down what actually happened because there are way too many variables in the equation.
1.) Chantal lies
2.) Addicts lie
3.) Screenshots aren't super credible due to potential of altering
4.) Nader has a violent past, thus making rape a plausible act for him to commit
5.) Chantal has admitted to him being sexually aggressive and insatiable on multiple occasions
6.) The alleged dating apps owned by Nader (confirming that he'll basically bang anyone)
7.) He fucks Chantal, which proves he will literally fuck anything as long as it benefits him in some way
8.) Nader has denied/manipulated everything thus far that has painted him in a bad light
9.) Mae's appearance, or what parts of her we can see, give off hardcore anorexic junkie vibes; not elderly grandma vibes
10.) Crazy bitches will go to any length to troll Chantal (adding Nader on Facebook, messaging him, video messaging him (ie: "Debbie" aka eyebrowface), setting up a meeting to "sightsee" with him, etc.)
I'm sure there's tons more that could be added in there for good measure, but long story short, there's been so many lies and so much back and forth in the last 6 months that it's practically impossible to be able to tell who is lying. I'm honestly sure every single one of them is stretching the truth in some way or another here. The entire situation seems sketch from all angles. I believe that value is likely for the entire complex, which seems to consist of the 2 unit building in which 114 is in, and the 118 building to the left, with the 3 garages below for the 3 apartments. Not sure if that would total that amount or not tbh, as California is insanely expensive regardless, but it would make more sense than the single unit costing that much. The whole place looks like a shithole.
EDIT: Zillow states the property last sold for 900k.

More speculation, different subject. Isn't it possible that Nader's sudden interest in marrying Chantal and moving to the country has to do with fear that the Canadian authorities might try to deport him? My only other reasoning behind marriage outside of total control is so that she can't testify against him in court (if that's how things go in Canada). Just a thought, though.
EDIT: Laws have been changed, but you can get out of testifying by refusal, basically.
