General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Resident alcoholic drug junkie anime girl Otachan dropped an unscuffed version of her original song she tried to debut on her nutso vtuber debut below
And a highlight version
Surprised it took them this long for Otachan to finally become a vtuber. Need to catch up on the stuff on Otaku-vs with her since I haven't watched the channel in a year.

That clip is getting shat on heavily, so maybe we are learning.
Maybe it’s a “look, we all like to shit on Kiara, but know the fucking limits, dude.” kinda thing.

EDIT: I know it’s be too vague, but I’m a bit disappointed they didn’t call it “HOLOweEN!”

Ain’t karma is a bitch. Some of Fauna inner circle friends also dissing on her for making into Hololive. Whoever trash talk Kronii probably kicking their nuts at the thought that Kronii will be on the interview panel when they apply for future generation at Hololive and Kronii will say “NO” for karma point.

Calli also have similar situation hope they get rid of all those so call “friends” and start a new pages.
Precisely, they are in Hololive, being there right now means they have potential. With all the hype and with how much Cover grew in the past few years, getting in means you have potential, they aren't hiring any girl that passes by their offices!

Those "friends" can go fuck themselves, a true friend would be glad that a friend's dreams are coming true. And yes, they are also shooting themselves down hard, there are examples of talents that got in thanks to having inside friends, those assholes are retards on so many levels lol!

It's Amelia and not Ina organizing the puzzle thing lol!

Just some update on the "Kiara collabed got cancelled by management. Seems like a group of people are convinced it's the other side (Niji) that shot down the collab (given the vagueness of the annoucement we may never know WHO really denied the collab)
Nobody knows for sure, but do remember you're getting the corporate approved version of the events from there, so take it with a grain of salt!

pippa talking about hololive and niji. watched a drunk kronii call ollie, talking about wanting to be more of a talking streamer. those deus ex fans won, will be the nexg game after fear.
Now she just put down FEAR to talk about Fallout Equestria. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy

But thank God, she's talking about Digibro now. That shit is less cursed than Fallout Equestria.

People always thought of Niji as being free as fuck (especially more true for EN Nijifans), but now they're trying to curb that and are going to steer the livers more. I mean, they just made a new unit made of existing livers, not unlike the Umisea
I don't follow Niji much, but liver groups are not a response to Umisea. One that I can think off the top of my head is Rain Drops, consisting of Ryushen, Elu, Warabeda Meiji, Joe Rikiichi, Saegusa Akina, and Suzuki Masaru who are signed to Virgin Records of Universal Music Japan. It's been around for over a year and has done multiple originals/covers by now. One of their more recent videos was published in late August, this one, and has 1.5 million views.

Also, if the reason given by RiverBear is correct, Niji's reason for implementing a collab ban is, at least, not a direct response to Holo's implementation of it, but more just that a member got shat on for begging for collabs very early on and Niji intervening to make sure that doesn't happen again.

Let's remember that for a while it was Holo that was following in Niji's shadow. It's not until recently that Holo gained the popularity and financial resources to start pursuing it's own path without having to worry about larger companies changing trends in the industry overnight. Even if Niji has had to make changes in it's trajectory due to Holo's recent growth/influence, to me, they mostly seem to be sticking to their own plans. Though, as I said, I don't follow Niji closely so I might be incredibly wrong.

I'm not sure what sorta games she likes and how badly would they scare off numbers (I think she mentioned Paradox games and Civilization at some point?), but this is part of what makes it feel like she's been thinking outside the Vtuber box, something that is going to either put her ahead of the pack or doom her.
Nina has talked about how she plays Crusader Kings 2, Civilization 4 (I think?), and Rimworld to relax, but doesn't think they'd be enjoyable to stream. She's also talked about loving Fallout: New Vegas and Slay the Spire, both of which she played frequently under her previous identity. For upcoming streams, she's mentioned wanting to play HoMM3 and asking for permissions for VtM.

I know she's mentioned a bunch of other games in passing like Morrowind and Persona 5, but I don't watch her enough to actually remember most of them. Despite her tech-illiterate boomer schtick, it actually seems like she's the biggest gamer of her wave.
