But rags almost entirely reacts to shit like a grifter, so I'm not sure if he can exist outside of a realm where his sells his opinions by being passive agressive like a total subby houseboy, needing someone to play daddy and give him goo for him to truly be in his element.
And mauler is the type of tard that complains about quality while being unable to delegate and separate his ideas making his videos drag on for fucking ever, because not only does he need to convince you "XYZ" thing is objectively wrong, but teach you what it is, why it matters, why he is talking about it, who agrees, who disagrees, why they are wrong, why it matters, who it matters too...
Both of them have some value in not being the dumbest people online, and typically circle jerk on podcasts. But fuck is their own actual content lack luster. Rags needs an idiot to call out to appear intelligent, he is defined by "proving" his big brain by comparing himself to fucks that make dsp look smart more often then not with lazy unedited/unscripted commentary. Meanwhile Mauler spends 10 months making a part of a review for a film unanimously agreed to be shit on it's own, because it somehow takes 10 hrs to call a bad movie bad, which is a shame because he likely could have clipped out large sections of his videos and made like 20-30 min videos on the topics alone he adds just in case someone watching didn't know what a movie is can be caught up with mid review of a film.
Hell I like his dark souls 2 video because I don't like Harris, but it's petty, long winded, and honestly could have been like 8 focused videos on topics like reviewing the game, discussing and breaking down game design, as well as stupid slapfight with the Soylent Sonic himself. Instead the dipshit has them be a fucking melting pot of all of it which is rather stupid.
There is a large degree of irony too, Mauler takes 5 years because his review needs to be "good", despite the fact that it's very liable to have a 45-minute tangent about something that really is not that important to the purpose of the video, meanwhile Rags puts literally zero effort into his work besides vetting who he's going to call a dummy. And somehow between the two both their content feels like it's too long and can be edited down significantly and it would improve them tremendously.
