Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? They are in fact USPS employees. The people collecting ballots and packaging them are USPS employees, supervised under strict chain of custody by their superiors. And as for each individual one, they are supposed to check a few things. The big one is the date it was postmarked. It gets postmarked as soon as it comes in, and then sent off to collecting and packaging. Any ballots postmarked after a date set state by state is supposed to be discarded. The standard procedure for the supervisor is to pull out a random sample of packets and check them for correct postmarks. Any wrong means the whole box is redone.

So the idea that a shitload of false mail-in ballots being put in the mail and delivered is somehow out of the question? Because I'm still thinking that it isn't and I'm not sure you've explained how it would be, here.

The low-down, according to the Biden admin (this is part of BBB): "In addition, the framework will create a new Civilian Climate Corps - with over 300,000 members that look like America. This diverse new workforce will protect our public lands, bolster community resilience, and address the changing climate, all while putting good-paying union jobs within reach for more Americans."

Apparently this seems to have been one thing that major climate activist groups like Sunrise Movement were trying to push for. I, for one, have to wonder if they would even be capable of getting 300,000 employees should this pass.

Worth noting also that I can't find total agreement on how much the CCC is getting in funding. Gaetz suggests just the $2 billion but I've seen people make estimates as high as $30 billion.

This is something that I'm pretty interested in too, specifically because they're going to be operating on non-Federal lands. What's the plan with that? Even if you have established responder groups like FEMA, you don't want to just slap 'em on down all over the place willy nilly. That tends to make people a little, err, anxious, to put it mildly.

Yes, mainly due to the postmark thing. What is normally done is stuff completely in the confines of the vote counters. This would be unaffected by an USPS lack of favors but would be affected by other things. Since we have focused on the USPS though that is an aside. The USPS only really saw usage with the mass mail-in ballots. The Democrats realized they needed more and so sent in a bunch during that long period of counting. Which would -all- have been postmarked -well- after the cutoff point.

Someone else pointed out the main reason this can't happen. They can't give reparations to recent foreigners when blacks haven't gotten a penny yet. That alone will kill this in the crib. Even if it's technically a lawsuit settlement, it won't fly.

I'm starting to think there are some higher-up Dems who are like, "Right, our platforms suck. Let's throw out all our ideas we don't actually want to do so the public will kill it for us and we won't have to answer to the loonie antifascists anymore."

Look at the Arizona Audit for a lot of that actually! Basically every example that could occur did there. Signature matching is the big one, but besides that, you also have placement of the dots to fill in, degree of bleed-through, the type of paper used, to the type of ink. Not to mention Social Security number matching, matching ballots sent versus ballots received.

One thing to note, if they are planning on changing their voting base or those who support them for another group, they don't have to give the previous support group any payment. What are they (the black community) going to do, assault the incoming Mexicans and what not and then go toe to toe with drug cartels and more who already scare them. It's bad enough in Chicago black people are fleeing the incoming Hispanic/Mexicans south into the likes of Quincy in Illinois alone. It might even come to the point Mexicans/Hispanics will be let off their leash to rid the old dog of the democrats. At that point what would they have to lose by turning a blind eye by allowing it? This way they get a new voting base and keep in power all over again, and don't need to depend on a smaller or perceivably weaker group.

You know, that specific idea hit me like a truck. The black conservative caucus acted in the same way and the fact the GOP/Republican groups ignored voting irregularities in certain states like Georgia and didn't even speak up... Well it almost solidifies the idea in my mind they didn't just vote for Biden betraying the rest of the group but may have played a hand for "promised favors." The best part is they can't expose these favors (if true) or it gives fuel to those who have constantly harped on not trusting the minority wings of the GOP/republicans.

Even if that's not the case it's interesting food for thought.

So here's where I'm at right now. I read this, and I completely agree with it, but I'm not sure why. I've been pretty busy with work these past few months, and I'm not sure what precipitated this change. Was it all because of the Iron Dome vote? Her calling Pelosi "Mama Bear"? It seems like there should have been one big thing that did it for her, but I can't think of what it was.

AOC seemed to be getting propped up by the Justice Democrats including Saikat Chakrabarti who situated himself onto her staff after getting her into office, but was then ousted a couple years ago. AOC was probably a puppet for these people. Since then AOC has been kinda aimless and just going along with whatever seemed popular on social media.

Her doing stuff like going to that gala works fine for giving her positive attention from Dem voters who think the ultra rich and powerful are getting told off by her wearing a dress and partying with them. So she's not losing points there. She just has no one to direct her towards doing anything meaningful. She recently had that video do the rounds of her saying how she chats with Bernie, which is a decent sign that she's taking direction now not from the more radical elements of the Justice Democrats as she was in the past, but rather from the old money in congress like Bernie.
