puzzle boss (is that even a real thing?)
Yeah, that's a term. It refers to bosses with mechanics that usually involve figuring out some trick in order to damage them or otherwise expose them to damage. Otherwise, they're extremely difficult if not flat out invincible to everything else you can throw at them.

A quick example: The Cleft Brothers from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Halfway through the third chapter during the gladiator tournament, your opponents are a pair of spiky rock skulls. You flat out are forced to use the "run" option in order to end the encounter, with the skulls themselves telling you (indirectly, of course) to do this if you're close to dying, because they are legitimately invincible. Running means you lose the fight but this is intentional - when you return to the lockers, this egg that's been following you hatches into the Yoshi partner and HE is how you win the fight - it's all an elaborate tutorial for how to use Yoshi's swallow/spit attack, because the ONE way to damage them is to literally eat one brother and spit him at the other. They go down in two rounds once you figure it out.

There is so much pathetic gold from dakkysmurf. Everything he says is a desperate ass-lap

What s the lore on this exceptional individual?
I might be remembering wrong but I think he was hanging around in LSB's chat, and holy shit this is either some of the most servile cuck like shit or trolling.
PP is the Inigo Montoya's "that word you keep using" meme's wet dream...
:feels: :achievement: This sums up Dave to a tee every time he uses big boy words.
I wonder how Phil will take credit for this

Well I guess he's going to be very full of himself (more than usual) during pre stream, and this should open up for him giving another lecture about how streaming works and his legacy.

It would be pretty hilarious if now even with gifted memberships they couldn't hit the tips goal. I doubt it will happen but thinking of the scenario in my head and how pissed it would make DSP is pretty amusing.
As amusing as this would be, with planet dead wife and [REDACTED] hanging around not likely.
When this is implemented he should get a decent bump in ''organic'' channel growth.

"Kind of interesting how YouTube implements gifted subs right when I started talking about after leaving Twitch, huh? Tuhuh, naow I'm not saying they listened to me or anything but, SNORT, maybe you know, since I was talking about how great it would be, someone at YouTube staff, maybe- uhh maybe some peepul there noticed that it would be good thing, you know? So yea, this should be great for the channel, really help with organic growth. So for once, you know, YouTube is doing the right thing and not being total morahns. Naow, we just gotta see if they'll let anyone besides PewdiePie and the ridiculously big, you know, shill YouTubers use the feature. Just small independent content creators, like myself, should have the same features as those guys, or I'd be pissed, and it's probably- I'd say it would be against the law and grounds to sue their asses. So.. SNORT, THROAT CLEAR"

He's going to do a lot of smug smiling thats for sure.

After taking a much needed break away from watching Phil’s gouty jowls flap on camera and the ‘Tism Vortex in general for almost a month, coming back to an incoherent and particularly delusional State of the Stream video, being blessed with the sight of seeing Phil’s autism in real-time in lieu of watching his awful fan art, a wildly unexpected monster-sized bill related to his super serious identity theft issue, and Keemstar just dunking on Phil where it hurts him the most, this seems as good as any time to jump back into the this cesspool of toxicity with other mentally ill shitheads.

Watching Phil from afar and only popping in to quickly check things out at a high-level reminded me how easily one can get too emotionally invested into someone else’s life, especially an individual’s life you may particularly dislike.

But taking time away also reminded how incredibly pathetic and pitiful Phil’s life truly is. When the last element of total control he has left in his life is a virtual space sparsely populated by less than 250 people when it numbered in the thousands at one point, you know for someone who cares so much about being relevant that it’s slowly killing him inside. That this sorry excuse of a man has become so scared to live his life in anticipation that someone could mildly fuck with him, he’s shut himself off from the rest of the world. The word sad doesn’t even begin to describe the conditions he’s willingly stuck himself into.

In the four weeks I took a break, I was able to travel to three different places and just experience life to create memories that I’ll fondly remember down the line.

And what has DSP done besides get fatter, unhealthier, more paranoid, and even more irrelevant? Absolutely fucking nothing.

And that’s the crazy thing with Phil. You could leave for 6 years and come back at any point in time and he’ll still be sitting in some type of gross chair, sitting in front of a pale wall peeling off soundproof foam that was lazily implanted, with the camera still pointed at his stupid face, and still asking for people to tip him or give him money because trolls have ruined all his other avenues to make money.

How can someone call this a “life,” I’ll never understand. I was getting angry and pissed off watching this dude’s tiny, little life. I also have to be honest that watching Phil get rewarded financially for his awful behavior also truly pissed me off because I get that he needed to be miserable. The problem with this line of thinking is that Phil is permanently miserable. He just tries his best (and clearly fails) at properly hiding it. His rampant alcoholism and gambling issues are symptoms of a much deeper existential crisis that he’s perpetually stuck in. And that’s the best form of poetic justice one could ask for to afflict this piece of shit.

It is, but like its not a universal thing. Its relative. I personally define it as you changing mechanics or using strategies in a specfic way. Like in JRPGs its the kind that makes you use specific skills like bosses that can only be hit by a certain element or hitting targets in a specific order . But say like most of Survival Horror is all puzzles. So, like Resident Evil doesn't have them, because all the bosses are puzzles.

Him having 950 subs while only getting around 400 average viewers back on Twitch was one thing, him having the same amount of members while being barely able to maintain 200 viewers on average on Youtube will look completely ridiculous.

Especially considering that there are no free "YouTube Prime" memberships. I believe the Twitch leaks indicated that Twitch Prime accounted for ~200 of his subs, so that would be another 200 gifted memberships that his whale(s) would need to account for.

The Internet: 225 viewer on average, 987 members — a slight anomaly…?

DSP cuck: Not really. You see, DSP may look like a monkey who’s been put in PJ’s and a T-Shirt and then strategically shaved, but he is a brillant streamer. The number of members vs. actual viewers is simply a reflection of how firmly OIC and Planet dead wife believe in his entertainment value.

Note: All credit for this goes to ''Blackadder Series 3 Episode 1 Dish and Dishonesty'' but this is what comes to mind every time this gifted member/sub thing is brought up.

Any more ridiculous than a couple of people dropping 300 a day on him while randoms leave him almost nothing?

Or, pretty much everything in Shadow of the Colossus.

You are right. I didn't used to think so, but with how bad his drinking has gotten lately, there's no longer any denying how awful he thinks his life is. He doesn't feel bad about his decisions, but he definitely hates the consequences. He hates that he can't go anywhere without someone recognizing that he's an asshole. He hates that his fanbase isn't a hundred times bigger. He hates that large corporations don't just hand him lucrative sponsorships for doing nothing so he can retire and quit pretending he likes video games. He hates that his wife is bottom of the barrel, but the best he can do. He hates that people on the internet care about documenting the ways in which he sucks at life.

He can rake in the tips and be less entertaining for us all he wants, it doesn't keep him from wishing his life was better. It doesn't take away the pain that just compounds year after year. If anything, it just makes it hurt more, because it's a reminder of how much he depends not only upon the tips themselves, but the ability to live in denial of how much he owes his last bit of relevancy to the detractors he hates so much. Every time OIC says we have his permission to seethe, it shows Phil that we help keep him alive. A fact he probably hates most of all. We saw how tilted he got over the suggestion.
