I watched the dev vlog panel of them "studying" in America during development for ATS. They spent like 20 minutes being hysterical about how instead of the European signs with symbols and shit, it's just text. English fucking text on the signs and roads.

Euro road signs are mostly not in text because everybody who can't read or speak the language should be able to understand them easily. Road signs in the US are quite easier to understand as a sizeable portion of the world speaks English.
I never had a problem driving in the US as I find the road signs refreshingly simple and easy to the point.
But tbh, I went also almost hysterical when I saw the first US truck in my life, these things are huge compared to their Euro counterparts.
