Maybe someone who is more legal savvy can help answer this, but let's just assume the verdict stands and the criminal matter is finally behind Baked. Do we think the bouncer would have a civil case worth pursuing? Not just for physical damages from the mace itself, but also psychological for the torment of online redicule with the teasing and production of memes showing the incident in manner unfavorable to him? If I was an attorney, I'm thinking this could be a slam dunk.

I've begun listening to the audio. I'm assuming all the annoying pleasantries are cut out and this starts out with Baked on the stand with his attorney, if I'm hearing it correctly.

I'm 5min in and he's talking to his lawyer almost like he's the prosecution. "You already know that." Did he just pay this lawyer and not ever talk to him or something? I thought knowing you're gonna have to retell shit for the record is like "Being on the stand 101". I'm trying to decide who's the bigger re.tard here: Baked or the lawyer.

This guy could have pled out and gotten either probie or a super-short direct sentence. If you're caught dead to rights on camera, for piddly shit (not facing down a nasty sentence anyway), it's not that hard a decision and can be in your favor to plead out. I guess we'll find out when he gets sentenced. Normally (finances permitting) you don't want to plead out because it eliminates any chances of beating the rap, but again... camera... very straightforward... totally unsympathetic... would any defense attorney really say he had a chance of beating this at the bench?

Anyways if he doesn't have any priors then probation is still a distinct possibility. All things considered, probation for big nipples timmy is a trap. He would be much better off trying to get a short direct sentence, sit it out and be free n' clear, because if he VOPs he's gonna get the judge's dick right in his ass for maximum penalty. There is a pretty serious chance of him violating a year or two's worth of probation, since it's virtually guaranteed he will be on drug/alcohol monitoring and he's also a streamer moron.

Better yet, if he didn't have any priors before, now he does... and that will not help him if he's convicted over 1/6 at all. It's really embarrassing that this guy is making videos crying about how the legal system is fucked over this and how he got a bad hit. This is why you should never listen to cons when they tell you they got a bad hit. It's usually well-deserved. Here's this guy whining that he got railroaded because he maced a security guy multiple times on camera for doing his job, he maced him because the bouncer hurt his feelings. It's all very pathetic.

I've posted this earlier, but his plea deal was literally two days. Two fucking days in jail to avoid all of this.

I also made the comment about it being a giant blunder not to have his 1/6 case settled first because now not having a clean record becomes problematic as all hell. Results of 1/6 would of had zero affect on the outcome of this case, but not the other way around. Especially when you consider one of the crimes he is now guilty of is one of violence (assault). The prosecutor for 1/6 will be leagues above what his attorney faced today. Yes, his same budget attorney is working both cases.

He doesn't realize how incompetent his attorney is either. A while back, I was taunting him in his chat about this fact and he shot back with that clearly not being the case because all his attorney does it keep winning on the motions being filed. Of course, I was immediately banned, but talk about ignoring good advice...which is actually fine with me because the more shitty advice he takes, the worse his life becomes.

And yeah, despite this all being caught on camera, he and his minions are all surprised and outraged by today's outcome. Textbook case of cognitive dissonance and an inability to accept reality.

It would have had some effect, but it couldn't have raised his sentence into something in years, the (extremely unlikely) max would still have been 13 months. While the 1/6 case is somewhat more troubling, it is still the federal equivalent of the same kind of disorderly content with the bonus for doing it on the Capitol, but even if he got the same length of sentence it would be probably served somewhere much worse.

I don't think his specific performance in this case was particularly bad, unless he actually advised Baked to testify. If he did that, yes he's a moron. I also don't know if he really had the ability to get the court timetables to align perfectly although a defendant can usually string those along for quite some time.

Baked is sperging so hard though I think he actually legitimately expected his ridiculous performance to get him acquitted and he might have insisted on testifying over advice not to. And why would he care about delaying the state case when obviously he was just going to win both? He comes across like Chris-Chan, even using a nearly identical excuse for macing someone for no real reason abloo-bloo-bloo I wuz scared of the big scary man, a spoiled brat of a man who has never been told no by anyone in a position to make it hurt.

I saw that, I just wasn't sure if that was definite info. If so, then that's even worse than I thought. A weekender in jail, no afters. Probation looks like hard time by comparison.

As Anominous said, there's some question if the lawyer would have been able to continue this case for such a prolonged period. I would say no offhand. You can ask for continuance(s) but they're usually justified by some procedural issue, and ultimately the court will wanna know why you're asking for yet another continuation on some open-and-shit trash they want to get off the docket.

Perhaps using the word "zero" wasn't the best. I think you understand my point though that one would most likely be better off having the 1/6 case be settled first since prosecution seems a bit more vindictive and wanting to make an example out of people. Much easier to plead out to something minor with a clean record on that one. I grant you that his attorney can't dictate the time tables for each case, but if you check his federal case, you can see that they have been pushing that one off as well and people with the same or similar charges have been taking deals for several months now.

You are also right that it isn't necessarily fair to place the blame of a bungled strategy when YOBA is your client. I mean, with Baked doing the objections during the trial, I think it becomes a little more clear who is calling the shots, lol. He likely did try to convince Baked to take the two day plea, but YOBA is as YOBA does and he was out to be vindicated. I do not recall Baked saying one way or another that not taking the deal was with or without his attorney's advice.

It really is unfair of me to place this at the feet of Mr. Thornley, so thank you for correcting me. This really is all Baked's fuck up; as it always is. I guess the real comedy I find in this is that on paper, Baked could have not have found a less qualified attorney for his 1/6 case, but it seems more or less than Thornley took the case on as a matter of convenience, money, and self-promotion (he has been posting on social media about things). Baked is like a money printing machine for an attorney working on billable hours.
