I for one appreciate that @smellybutthole has come to the thread to debunk the "byuu wasn't in Japan" argument. Sure, it's not an argument anyone was making beyond theoretical speculation, and he didn't so much debunk it as call the people who are making that argument (that do not exist) retards, but at least this thread has some activity again and we can all be reminded that byuu didn't really kill himself.

Let's use the logic in this thread: "Maybe Byuu went to a cat cafe at some point on holiday. Using the immigration knowledge I have from numerous how to get a visa for Japan youtube videos I can certainly say Byuu would never get anything except a tourist 90 days permit". Anyway that was an example of general behavior on this thread.

If you want me to pick on you directly I will. You aren't a Japanese lawyer or immigration official. Trying to act like one here makes you look like you drank lead paint as a baby. Sorry, I mean, yeah fo sho Byuu is going to get deported for something you don't even know is an offence that qualifies for deportation. Even though people that have defrauded the social security system for hundreds of thousands of dollars, have actual criminal sentences against them like bitcoin boy and so on haven't.
But fo sho "just embarrassing the authorities is enough" for deportation. Real weird that people that have spent their whole time in Japan antagonising the authorities haven't been deported and granted citizenship in some cases.
What about that French guy that pulled a hunger strike around the olympics. Did he get butt rammed with batons, put in a crate and shipped back to France? I don't think so.
There are way too many people in here who get all their Japan info from faggot pedos like Unrested, or reddit.

Look, all this speculation is fun, but the fact of the matter is that Byuu wasn't in Japan. Anyone remotely familiar with him or his case knows he was actually living and working in the airport terminal at Narita, without ever having crossed into Japan proper. The situation was similar to that of Mehran Karimi Nasseri (real-life inspiration for "The Terminal") but with considerably more amenities since Byuu was gainfully employed throughout via wi-fi.

What are the chances that those photos he took with the noose, his meds, etc. aren't even his? You'd think he would've had his address there revealed since people can somehow figure out where someone lives based on their wallpaper now.

There's always a chance, but nobody has been able to find copies of those photos posted elsewhere yet.

He already had one friend lie about listening to him die, another could have easily taken those pics. He wouldn't have had to find them online. Alternatively, the easiest way to fake a pic is just to grab one off of an obscure youtube video so it doesn't ping any sort of image search. That's how you pretend to be a celebrity on 4chan for (you)s.

Waitasec

So, either this literal zoophile is clout chasing (highly probable) or Byuu/Near/David Kirk Ginder was continuing to associate with known complete degenerates up until the point of his supposed death.
So he changed exactly zero and the pity part is a complete fabrication...not that this is exactly surprising, just another tidbit to throw on the pile.

I looked into timeline implications, there don't appear to be any. This Zrcalo Sveta lives in Mesa AZ so the "last contact" would be functionally in pacific time in this case, putting that at noon-ish.

(in case you're wondering, the Mesa AZ comes from, this picture they posted on twitter (https://archive.md/PjPhP), which blanks their address but does not blank a very important piece of information)

which gets us this code we can plug into USPS' website:

Importantly, whether 6 or 9 digit, the zip, first 9 of DP Zip code, stays the same, and the first five being what we call a zip code:

For verification purposes, here's the code as downloaded from the USPS website and it placed next to the code on the picture:

Edit: and just as an FYI, that delivery code CAN be traced to an actual address, if only for a short time with any reliability (the 9 digit zip apparently changes some times and so does the 2 digit on the end, so you have to act quick to be sure). but I haven't found an easy way to do it yet. I don't think you can plug a DP Code into a program available to you or I and have it spit out an address so the only way I can determine with a bit of research is take all the possible addresses within 85210 and plug them into an address validator which spits out a delivery point code as part of address validation (and such things do appear to exist). I'm also exceptional so there's a chance I'm just missing something.

Edit:
More mail, same day (https://archive.md/TVkEJ):

This is interesting because it’s supposedly happening during Byuu’s final hours and yet he makes no mention in conversation about struggling emotionally (furries are fags and usually exploit this). He doesn’t mention anything about KF or any of it.

So if that furry is telling the truth, it’s a little strange.

ITT we had had a profile pop up a few months prior to June that seemed to have the same level of knowledge as Byuu. So I don’t think he’ll reappear online again as Byuu. If David is alive, Byuu/Near persona is dead. I’m wondering if they meant to kill off a fursona and it snowballed into the real man being dead and they had to just roll with it. (I may be getting too esoteric here)

Nah, I think it's the same thing as always with Byuu. The reason we got "Near" in the first place was that he killed off the Byuu persona and quit the internet forever, if I recall.
He always seems to have had this idea that the world was after him for his SNES games or whatever, and if he just "bought them off" hard enough by quitting the internet, open-sourcing his emulator, dying, whatever, they'd finally leave him alone. I interpret that recent dump of SNES box scans as part of his latest "buy-off" attempt.

One thing that will always be amusing is that whenever anyone brings up near, people will ask who is near and how did he make all these cool emulators and how come I never heard of him?

Oh, well that's because his name used to be byuu and he made those emus under that name. By the way, don't use the name byuu because that's deadnaming and people who deadname are bad people. Not me though, I'm just explaining his history.

Happens all the time in /r/emulation and usually looks like this:

Deadnaming. What a retarded concept like mansplaning etc

It convinces me that Byuu/Near or at least someone close to him is on the moderation staff there. It could be just a powertrippin' troon, but the rapid speed in which any Byuu references are deleted (even though Byuu himself said you could call him whatever) is crazy. You can't even remotely mention that he may still be alive without immediately facing the jannyhammer and called a terrible human being.

For a community focused around preservation, they really don't seem interested in preserving the history of one of the most infamous devs in the scene...

r/emulation has never been about preservation. It’s always been about playing games for free (or with Patreon subscriptions).

The actual preservationist scene knows that sub is cancer.

Not just preserving history, they should be just as focused on preserving byuu's life, especially considering evidence for his death is unconvincing.

Their response to the news should be like kiwifarms's: the evidence for byuu's death is unconvincing and we hope he is still alive.

Instead their response is that byuu's so called death is a forgone conclusion, kiwifarms is responsible and must be shut down.

This tells me ideology is more important than byuu's life. That makes sense, leftists are collectivists after all. Considering that they won't respect byuu's wishes that the name byuu is okay leads me to believe that byuu probably doesn't have a janny working for him on r/emulation. They do it for free for the tranny cause.

And The fact that the far right nazis on kiwifarms actually WANT byuu to be alive tells you all you need to know.

The actual preservationist scene knows that sub is cancer.
I can confirm that r/emulation users are autistic as fuck and will fly off the handle at the most insignificant thing that nobody cares about.

It's probably just some bardfinn-esque tranny who mods 50 subreddits for topics they're not remotely interested in. The only moderation they do is to police troon causes like "deadnaming".

(realistically, it's probably just an automod rule)
