None of them understand women beyond this idealized, stereotypical, submissive idea they have built up of women. A quick scroll of their forums on Reddit/Twitter/Tumblr is full of men having "gender euphoria" at being 'gendered right' but many of these instances either come across as a stranger being polite... or reminding them that they clocked them in a sugary sweet way. Troons are either too stupid or too full of themselves (usually both) to realize they have just been genocided trying to purchase more Mountain Dew at the gas station to fuel them for a long night of arguing on the internet. Women complimenting another women's clothing can be a genuine compliment - or it can be a Regina George move.

It can also be a pity move. “This person seems to be trying, but looks terrible and will always look terrible, so I will be nice to them and try to make their day a little better, because obviously they need it.” That is where most of the online compliments come from when AGPs post their terrible selfies and get fawned over. It's like if you saw someone with severe Down syndrome who had managed to dress themselves independently for the first time. You might say "Wow, good job, your outfit looks great!" even if it's not true, because they're trying their best and they are retarded.

Obviously this sort of misguided pity is a mistake when it comes to troons, but most people have not grasped that yet.
