Faith has fucked her life too but at least at this point she lives with her family who has helped her raise her child since birth. Ralph and May are both narcissistic retards who probably don't have the capacity to selflessly love anyone else, let alone each other. They care about clout and appearances above everything else. I don't have any respect for Faith because she's a shitty person too but after all the gloating and showboating from Ralph and May, I'm glad to know that their relationship will publicly fall apart (and privately be miserable for its entire duration).

Their relationship can do nothing but get worse every day - May getting further along in pregnancy, Ralph gambling and drinking himself to death and the two of them fighting with each other constantly. None of these things will improve as time goes on because they are both immature, selfish and stubborn. Strong relationships built on love, trust and time would struggle during times like this. There's no way their relatively new, narc white trash relationship can handle this.

They feel like Faith lost but in reality her life is far less miserable than theirs. She's young, has supportive (retarded, but supportive) family, a financially stable environment to raise her child in and no toxic relationship with the Gunt to make her life an emotional and psychological disaster.
