I think that's a fair question, and the answer depends on how far the Overton Window has moved to the left, what the Dems consider establishment, and what they consider Progs. There's people in Congress, mainly Democrats, who were in congress when I was still in college - let that sink in! I'm no spring chicken, lemme tell you. But that field is thinning, rapidly. What's come in to replace that, has waxed and waned on how far or near left they are. But to get to the crux of your question, if the Establishment Dems are more like the Progs, the answer is "not very". The thing is, the SKWAD and other Prog dems are so...utterly alien, I mean, this is not a "Hey, $.02 sales tax to make sure kids have hot lunches at school" crowd this is a "Yes I'm a communist, lol that's not a threat to anyone!" crowd. Which scares the living shit out of me. I mean, goddamn, the philosophy these people push is something that even the older folks in Congress they work next to fought to stop from ever happening in the US! So I think if there's enough Establishment Dems (more like Manchin, less like Butt-edge-edge) to fight like hell to stave off the Long March through the House, then yeah.

If there's not, then our government will soon be at war with itself and at war for the survival of our country: Communists and Socialists vs. people who want freedom.

That's why I brought up youth as a concern earlier. The Progs have youth and the staffers are at least sympathetic to CRT, which is why Corporate wokeness is bottom-up. I don't see age moderating them into Blue Dogs at all; it's not why they got into politics in the first place.

Most leftist I've argued with since 2016 literally argue that Obama was "right wing and a saboteur" or some nonsense. Funny stuff and would explain no real change from his campaigning. Backstabbers turn on their past gods pretty fast isn't too surprising.

It was all about demoralization. They took over big-tech and thought they could stop the information spread but there are still people getting it out which is why they'll probably try to go even harder. They didn't have to pull out the big stops if they could get the enemy team to quit. The problem is their opposition (rational humans/enemy's to the left/etc.) don't give up that easily. Doesn't mean we're out of the woods yet though nor near it and I'm sure they will start flailing violently soon.

As been said multiple times, 2020 is one hell of a poisoned chalice that I sometimes wonder if it's just Trump getting extremely lucky, or the 78D chess thing is actually true.

Honestly, Trump is either obscenely lucky or he has a systematic approach to his actions that actually speculates possibilities a few steps ahead.

In favor of strategic loss: He had all the knowledge of several things that would make the sitting president eat shit just in 2021 (Afghanistan, Coronavirus), and we have some three more years to come. He also had very visible problems with internal party politics that take a number of election cycles to resolve. The overextension of Democratic political gambits is also something that a casual observer can see, and political research can definitely see it in detail. The opposition politics were HEAVILY oriented around Trump’s person itself, which becomes ineffective at best if Trump is not in fact in power. The opposition leadership is largely at the cusp of retirement, with few strong protegees. There’s just so much to win with a little patience.

In favor of strategic win: Honestly, not that much. The Democrats were firing on all the barrels they had and that does give them a very strong position across the election, both presidency and Congress. I do believe the critical Republican 2020 strategic victory was to just about hold onto Senate to make the strategic losses above palatable by stopping the Democrat government from doing anything too drastic. Or anything at all. Republicans including Trump are in an astonishingly great place to be patient in.

What I think is the big stroke of luck for Trump in 2020 is that he managed to lose with such a tiny margin that holds his personal momentum for the time being and keeps his future campaign on the table. That is absolutely not in his control. No one can possibly deliberately run such a specific campaign that millions of people turn out just right to squeeze out such an underwhelming victory for the opposition. But using the alleged opposition voter fraud to all but guarantee Trump such an outcome? Impressive if true—he’d not be that lucky after all. From here, he’s on track to a roaring re-election campaign against a thoroughly depleted and humiliated opposition and a more cohesive party behind him.
