You rent a room in a house and split it with someone or someones depending on the area and prices. Lots of people accept $100 a month and let you sleep in a closet, shed basement or on couch. You can get a week's worth of food for $25-40, especially if you have access to a kitchen with shared spices. Even less $ if you're smart about free events and public transport. The bean, rice and water meme is a meme for a reason. Numerous people have lived like this while applying to hundreds of jobs. It's not impossible. The issue is Digi is a drug addicted coombrain dopamine clown. So he needs his high speed internet 24/7, his weed, his drugs, his liquor and his overpriced burgers. If you skip the shared tiny room rent and just do the Gym shower routine from a car, the money stretches even further. People will underestimate how much "pleasure" costs. I'm surprised by all the answers to this question of how far can a monthly budget of $534 be stretched in the US; I've always seen America as the Land of Plenty; would the rent of a large flat state in the Midwest such as, say, Kansas or North Dakota, really be that expensive? I mean, it's not like either Digi, Riley, Bird or MintSalad need to commute to work and I imagine any decent sized US town has a Wallmart or a dollar store to budget shop there.

Cross-post from the Amanda/May thread; SpicySalts, aka Ronald Mejia, who allegedly tried to kidnap May after breaking into her residence (while she was still living with and engaged to Digibro, who also had Riley and BirdStoic crashing there as well), has apparently pledged guilty today before his trial next Monday (11 November).

Looks like Gunt and Amanda are still seething at Riley (who has propagated the notion that May had set up the mentally ill SpicySalts by inviting him to her home, which was amplified by a tweet with Riley's theory attached to it by Ben Saint), Null and the Farms.
