Catching up on the day's autism and I stumbled on this portion of the prestream. Gonna timestamp Snort here:

Edit: Here's a link because I'm on 36 hours no sleep and forget how to embed like a dumb cunt

"My monthly taxes because I have to pay my estimated taxes every month"

Ummmmm... Phil? Did you forget the grift? Who let you go off-script? Estimated current taxes are quarterly, remember? Even post-bankruptcy, estimated taxes have been quarterly. Even post-Tax Guy-Accountant-CPA-Lawyer-Attorney Man getting you on the tax payment, it was still quarterly. I can't find anything where you made the magic switch from quarterly on your current taxes to monthly. Even in my Dr. Professor Google searches it says that overwhelmingly it's common to pay quarterly for self-employed people and small-business owners in nearly all circumstances.

Anyone else know when he added this to the lore, or is this a brand-new addition?

He pays his taxes to Scopely and Scopely demands monthly tax payments. Duh

Phil's new rant is amazing. Bringing that list of bills he supposedly has on a weekly basis is very DSPlike behavior and continues to make me wonder if he is autistic. The real highlight is when he slips up and says he won't have money to take his soulmaid and catson to a restaurant to eat out on his day off because he has no money. And he complained he wouldn't be able to do it for one day, much less the rest of the week.

Phil, no one who supposedly struggles with bills and money eats out at some restaurant where they will be spending more than 40 dollars for two meals. I swear he would rather starve to death than learn to cook or give up his WWE addiction.

Also we got a new DSPism. Pennypinching apparently means digging money from anywhere in order to scrap by for him, not saving every last penny because you are niggardly with your money.

He keeps saying he doubled his CPM.

He's probably not lying, but he's coveniently omitting that when you're a ~3k subscriber channel, your CPM is usually a whopping $2 USD a month.

That he avoided specifying when I asked him speaks for itself:

Pretty sure its against AdSense TOS to discuss the CPM

Its frowned upon if your partnered with MCN's (if any are left?) because it gives rivals an edge in negotiations.

Also is this hoarder background just another way he can dodge getting a green screen?

"How can I have a green screen? You guys wont be able to see the console boxes nuuhhuhhuh"

They are quarterly if you are self-employed. If you are not on a repayment plan, you can even skip quarterly payments if you have sufficient resources on hand to pay your taxes in full at the end of the year.

Phil grosses ~$100,000 per year. With some creative accounting and enough legitimate(ish) business expenses, he could reduce his AGI and tax burden to manageable levels. But that would require he segregate personal and business expenses - at least well enough so that at first blush there are not any red flags - and keep proper records. My account used to suggest that borderline deductions were valid until the IRS said no, at which time be prepared to pay up.

Most other “mahture adoolt” who are self employed in the US manage it. Phil, however, is a special snowflake

So....what do you guys think is behind the sudden crackdown on troll comments?

He's always complained incessantly about them and of course scrubbed it away in places where he's had a live presence. But up until now he's tolerated/been too lazy to get rid of them in all places. Now for some reason he's suddenly putting in serious effort (for him) to purge them everywhere possible, like every tweet and youtube video has to be completely clean now. At a serious cost to engagement.

What is he hoping to accomplish 10 years after he lost his rep?
Wherever he's doing badly he looks at anything detractors are doing. The closer to him and where he's already looking the more influence he's going to exert upon it. If he has a couple slow nights his month isn't ruined but maybe his WWE champions time and UberEATS is ruined that day. This causes him to panic a little and do nothing until next stream pretty much. These are the times he bans people like snowkarl, he's throwing things into the proverbial pot to fix the dinner but he's not looking at what he's throwing in or tasting it to see if it has any effect or maybe is making it worse. It's the literal least he could do and to him it's Herculean. His harebrained ideas of what drives viewers includes missing big titles, displaying console boxes, and old trophies, putting dollar store decorations behind him, etc. Meanwhile if he just played Metroid Dread blind, allowed himself to struggle without being handheld, and was polite to chat, he'd get more paypigs. But like that old Simpsons problem. "Could I really be out of touch? No it is the children who are wrong"

"What is Daylight Saving Time? It is an archaïc, outdated, illogical practice that we still follow in the United States. (...) It actually has absolutely no practical purpose, we do it just for the sake of doing it."

What a deeply frustrated human being. There isn't a single thing he doesn't feel the need to shit on. I guess being a hermit for 13+ years builds up a lot of anger and regret deep down inside. Wasting away 13 years of your life must build up quite some frustration.

And it's wonderful what a single 20 second google search can do:

Studies have found that DST contributes to improved road safety by reducing pedestrian fatalities by 13% during dawn and dusk hours. Another study found a 7% decrease in robberies following the spring shift to DST. DST also promotes active lifestyles. When the day is lighter later, people tend to participate in more outdoor activities after work.

But I guess these things don't really matter when you never leave your house, have nowhere to go and don't do any outdoor activities whatsoever.

Can you even (reasonably) chargeback a superchat?
Like, if you were to tip and then charge it back you could reasonably say to paypal "Burnell Industries did not ship the custom gin tumbler they promised so I'm charging back my payment".
With Superchats, you're going up against Google. Like, yeah, you could dispute it, but I feel like they'd punish you for doing so (like how Hearthstone or other games if you buy card packs and then charge it back, Activision puts your in-game farmed currency into the hard negatives as punishment and refuses to do business with you further). I feel like since this mexican dude claims he's a small content creator, if he charges back, they're going to just take it out of his earned ad revenue or punish him through some other avenue (like disable ability for people to superchat him).
All they would have to do is send the clip of Phail berating him.

caught this one while watching the greed rant, never got deleted so it slipped past the sensors lmao

Why would it matter to him when he never waddles out of bed before 10:30? I wonder when the last time was he woke up before dawn, and staying up until 5am drinking and playing gatcha doesn't count.

I had pondered that he was making monthly current year estimated payments when I saw the leaks. Paying current year is usually a stipulation to a payment plan.
If it’s easier to pay your estimated taxes weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc. you can, as long as you’ve paid enough in by the end of the quarter.

I am fairly certain that the monthly payments is his payment plan for not paying taxes for so many years. The interest on the amount he ended up owing would make his unpaid taxes ridiculously high. He didn't have any estimated tax payments to it and I am currently under the impression that he never paid his taxes even though he had all those begathons to pay his taxes

The thing that gets me with this tax shit is when he complains about having to pay quarterly taxes since he's self employed, as if its some unique Phil problem no one else has to deal with. Everyone working a normal job has taxes taken out from each check and essentially pays their taxes throughout the year also. The only difference is Phil has to literally set the money aside on his own but its the same basic concept- you pay taxes throughout the year so when its actually time to pay, you're as close as possible to already paying what you actually owe.

This is just another example of phil bitching and crying about something all functioning adults have to, as if its something only he has to do. Phil we all pay taxes, get over it.

Yeah Wings was bitching about this, how hard taxes are for independence contractors when your income is doordash and YouTube. I don't buy it. You got a check? Put a third of it into a separate account for taxes. Simple as.

I'm assuming that you say this as a person who doesn't have crippling gambling, fast food and alcohol addictions.

It always gets me how up their own asses a lot of these ego babies are. Yeah the rest of the US has 20-40% of their pay check auto deducted, we also have bills, and most of us only get paid every 1,2, or 4 weeks so we have to budget ahead of time. But please, go on, tell us basemet plebs how hard it is to budget for the exact same fucking thing every month, we wouldnt know.
