But anyway, it's really sad seeing Rittenhouse on camera before all this happening - walking around asking if anyone needs medical help, saying he's an EMT, just trying to keep the town being burned down and people from being hurt. He didn't deserve any of this. The "before" footage really brings that home.
You know that "better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6" line that hard-charging boomers like to use? They've never been in Kyle's shoes. Even when you're obviously in the right, the state will do whatever it can to get your scalp, no matter how slimy or underhanded.

If you carry a gun, keep a list of people you're willing to go to prison for.

So Rittenhouse never pointed his gun at anyone until Rosenbaum corners him and tries to take his rifle? If that isn't self-defense then nothing is. If the defense doesn't call a police officer and ask them what they would do if someone cornered them and tried to take away their firearm, then they're insane.

Is there a list of the witnesses the defense will be calling? I hope they can really knock this out of the park.
Considering how bad the defense has been so far? Doubt it. At this point I'm pretty sure the State could give up trying and Richard's would still fuck it up.

During jury selection all potential witnesses were listed. There were around 200
Those are potential witnesses, we're not going to see 200 people testify. This trial would be months if they actually called them all, it's only estimated to be a couple weeks.

The state would rather you fight it, than make it unnecessary.

every good shooting school will tell you the best way to handle an active shooter scenario is to take you and your family and run away. if you cant, bunker down and use your gun defensively. the ones ive been to have a class that go through the local and state laws with a lawyer (sometimes former prosecutors) to ram into your head that the government doesnt celebrate vigilantism.

Lol

I think Pros knows he has a hostile witness now.

Honestly between the Virginia elections and how this case feels much much different from the chauvin case. Remember chauvin kneeled on the neck of the dude for 9 minutes. With this case there is nothing of the sort that really can make the jury or random activists say to the general public look see we're right we need to arrest this kid.
I mean the video evidence is well basically the equivalent of firery but mostly peaceful protests from the media. The people can see rioting going on behind the camera crews but we're supposed to believe they're just peaceful protests.
That's the best way we're to look at this case. If you're a blue person you must believe the he's a white surpremacist murderer narrative. But everyone can clearly see the video evidence showing the exact opposite.
Yeah but that implies there's any legitimacy in the system left.

This prosecutor is so obviously trying to build a narrative which suits him rather than get at actual truth. Every other question he asks, every statement he meant seems to be trying to present things as not being threatening, not having cause for alarm, even when they so obviously are. Kept asking McGinnis "but were you actually harmed... did he actually raise his arms towards you... how do you know he [Yellow Pants man] didn't want to talk to you... how close was he standing" The guy literally was standing there squaring off with bits of masonry in his hands - you don't need someone to say: "I have hostile intent towards you" to know they're threatening to you.

And again with the fucking AR-15 obsession. "So have you ever seen a medic carry a gun before [witness: yes]. But an AR-15?" Handguns are made for killing people exclusively. They kill more people than AR-15s, do. This fucking strawman obsession.

will the judge helping the defense hurt their case later down the line?

its one thing to overrule, but then adding guidelines toward acceptability be bias?

I think Schroeder is doing a better job advocating for Kyle than richards is right now. What a bad lawyer, he’s done 150 cases at trial, how has he learned nothing?
At least Richards is getting the McGinnis to paint the picture of a crazy hostile crowd. Fucking hell, how is he not doing better? This is bare minimum!

Most of the time, defense lawyers are working to stop scumbags from going to jail. I'm not surprised that he's having a tough time dealing with a case where his client is actually innocent.
