Balch is a hostile witness right out of the gate. Pros is getting owned.
And I'm baffled.

McGinnis, I can see, since he's there for the reckless endangerment charge, stupid as it is. Why would they bring in the guy who was buddy-systeming with Kyle to help protect the city? He is bringing literally nothing to the state's case.

I bet the judge is sitting there thinking "What the actual fuck am I doing here? The first "victim" was a full fledged psycho what about the others? Oh right I know already." And I get the impression the defense is sitting therer letting the prosecutors dig a bigger hole with each question while thinking "I am bad but even I can see I can earn a fuckton of money for just sitting here"

I wonder if they picked the fat guy because they believed he would be easy to lead and confuse into making self harming comments but then turned out to be a very educated on weapons and a clear memory of how the pedo was aggressive
does he have charges? curfew?

The prosecution keeps bringing this up as some huge GOTCHA for some reason
"You say he tried to attack everyone, tried to burn down a church and grab for guns? well you can't telepathically read his thoughts so you don't know his intentions, so neener neener "
That's all Binger has now that we're getting into the actual incident. Bullshitting and technicalities.

Okay, I can see what Binger's doing now. I'm guessing he's trying to say that the .223 FMJs in the AR15 would be a danger to everyone because of overpenetration. That's of course ignoring how .223/5.56 tends to fragment and yaw (which, granted, is unreliable).
Im pretty sure thats why it was chosen, the fragmentation makes it pretty much as effective as Battlerifle bullets when hitting somebody-

I think it has something to do with yesterday's events and hearsay.

So far the prosecution's cross of this witness has managed to prove that Kyle seemed in over his head, the pedo was openly aggressive and starting fires, and the cops had lost control of the riots and it fell to organized citizens to try to retain order in parts of the city. Semper Fi, army guy o7 you've been an amazing witness for the defense despite being called for the prosecution.

I'm still baffled what Binger thinks Bulch is bringing to the case. He's literally making the case that no one, the armed citizens and the rioters, didn't like the violent manlet because he was being a violent manlet.

Yeah. Hague measures (I think?) bars expanding rounds, so they went with an FMJ round that pretty much does the same thing. I think the 5.45 Russian round does the same thing, but better.

Judge would like to know where the fuck this line of questioning is going and .... is there any point that helps you, DA?
I kind feel like the judge is going to cut it off pretty soon. It's becoming more and more obvious that he's not really looking to get anything out of the witness, he's just shooting into the air and hoping he hits something.
