Some of the pages for plays and classical literature are actually well-done and very concise. One of the reasons why MLP might have a higher wordcount than say, Othello, is because it has more insane fans who grasp at straws and give it every trope under the sun.
One trope that does piss me off is "The Unfair Sex" that implies that women get off easier when they do something bad in a relationship than men, which was probably written by some bitter guy who thinks all women are sluts and they need to be punished. Whereas in real life, men don't get ridiculed for sleeping around but women do. A lot of the examples list sitcoms, and treat it like it's DV when a female character hits a male character and there's a laughtrack. Sitcoms where those happen clearly don't take place in the real world (because no one lives in a house with a wall missing from their living room with a studio audience and cameras filming them). As well, it's slapstick. And it's also lazy writing too. But even stuff that had women getting hurt or threats were considered funny. Like The Honeymooners.
