Kyle seems like a nice kid. It's true he shouldn't have fucked around in a riot, but he is young, naïve, and maybe - yes - even dumb.

Do I really care about him? Not much. I admire what he did when he stupidly got himself in a jam, and I thank him for eliminating two pieces of trash and maiming a commie. He's not someone close to me, though.

I'd hate to see him go to prison in a abstract kind of way, but I won't cry myself to sleep worrying about him if he's convicted.

What I do care about is a precedent being set that we're not allowed to defend ourselves against rioting thugs and commies.

He did go there looking for a fight, though. No other reason he'd be there. Especially with a gun. He is 17, he shouldn't have been there in the first place. He ain't a cop, it ain't his property or even his town.

If someone drove from Seattle to Portland to pick a fight with Proud Boys and "defend" themselves against them and shoot them, I'd feel the same way.

Anyway, last post on this since no one cares
Right, there's no other reason he'd be there, except to you know, help clean up the mess made by the rioters, providing first-aid, and being ready in case he's attacked. Guess what, if he hadn't been attacked, no-one would have died or been injured by him. Even assuming you're correct, let's say he did go there just to start shit. So what? That's his right, he wasn't attacking anyone, HE was the victim here, HE was attacked, and he was the one forced to defend himself.

This is a political prosecution, plain and simple.

Quite frankly if we're going by that logic there's no reason for anyone to have been there after the curfew since there was a curfew order. Which makes the entire "he shouldn't have been there in the first place" line of reasoning a totally moot point in the first place unless you are prepared to proclaim that nobody else should have been there either which makes everyone involved equally stupid.

Which if that's the line you want to take then that's your right to do so but don't try to make Kyle out as an exception in that case since everyone was breaking the law to begin with.

If she didn't want to get raped she shouldn't have- oh wait wrong topic.

On caring about Kyle, I think many just care about him because (apart from the obvious legal precedent at stake here) he's just about as close as you can get to being the perfect kid. Responsible, disciplined, caring, passionate, and has (had) goals for his future. Oh, and white.

You're lying if you say otherwise.

I thought I told you to shut the fuck up. You've added nothing to the conversation. You haven't argued any points, you're just here to talk shit. Can it.

If only you were brave enough to take the risks Kyle did.

You tell people to shut up on the internet.

Quite ineffectually.

Had Kyle not been there it is likely that Rosenbaum would have attempted to murder another person, and quite possibly succeeded had they not been as capable of defending themself as Kyle was.

Kyle did absolutely nothing wrong by being there, and conducted himself in an almost comically perfect manner. He is presently in an unenviable situation, but it is the fault of Rosenbaum, Huber, Grosskreutz, and the "Justice system" that is attempting to crucify him, not Kyle.

Caring for one's community is not an immoral act, and all those who continue to try and put some sort of "blame" on the kid are cuckolds of the highest order.

I kind of personally feel bad about what he's going through because I feel like he did the best he could with what he had, but I'm more concerned about the latter part. What's going to happen if he gets nailed with murder?

What's more, what happens if he gets all charges and there's no widespread outcry over it? Is that just... it? Do we just get our shit burned down from then on? It's bad enough rioters get media support; but what if the courts start ruling in their favor, too?

If enough people realize this effectively means self defense is called off during a riot, do we just collapse into anarchy for like a week if the Left comes to town?

I agree completely.

I don't care about Kyle Rittenhouse. I don't know him. Although we all used to be him (but that's another conversation.)

I care about this trial because this is about as textbook a case of self-defense as you can get. Anyone who owns a firearm for self-defense has a dog in this fight whether they realize it or not. If they can convict this kid when there's so much direct video evidence showing that he was defending himself from death or serious bodily harm, then what can they do to you if you have to smoke someone who happens to be the wrong identity and there's no video at all?

The way the prosecution is going, I just don't see that happening. They don't have shit and I think the jury is going to see that. I don't have much faith in the justice system but their case is just so poor that I can't see this ending as anything other than a full acquittal (at least on the murder charges) maybe found guilty on the misdemeanor gun charges.

There's just no fucking way but if you disagree I'll be more than happy to bet money on it.
