Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Correct. There is -nothing- of interest in this bill. I mean,t here is some in this bill, but its all hollow grandstanding. In fact, that summarizes this bill best. It's a ton of hollow grandstanding without any teeth. Meant to pave the way to a larger bill with fangs.
Will I can feel a little ease wait now. So thanks

So to confirm…

The RINOs voted for this because this is the stripped-down bill they wanted in the first place

And the progs voted for this because they’re buck broken cucks?
The progs voted for this because it doesn't really matter, I suppose. Plus it means they couldn't be blamed for stalling the entire agenda in case it somehow failed.

I understand that the 11 Rinos that voted for this probably got permission from Mitch to do so, but why/how does it benefit Republicans at all for this bill to pass?
Kevin McCarthy is the GOP minority leader. Cons are pissed at him on Twitter and hope he gets booted from leadership.

Edit: But since McConnell did vote for the Senate version already ... take your point.

This is the bill the RINOs and "moderate Democrats" created themselves to distance themselves from the(at the time) 6 trillion dollar spending bill the Senate was working on. That bill has been gutted a ton as well but that is the next one up for the senate in a few weeks. This is basically the dying breath of the Democrats before Republicans take over.

This is the bill Manchin and RINOs wanted, it is basically a gutted version of what the progressives wanted. The other bill is "social spending" bill which was 3.5 trillion but now knocked down to around 1.75 trillion. That bill all Republicans are against and the only thing stopping it is Manchin and Sinema, but the progressives in the Senate are also pissed because it has been gutted, but after Virginia Tuesday, Democrats know their time is up so they are trying to ram all kinds of shit back into it, but the "moderates" want to see what the cost of this version will be before voting, Manchin is going to gut a bunch more shit out of it and no one knows what is really going on with it, it is a mess.
Oh yes I forgot about that one. That's why I was so confuse before.

Speaking of this bill that just passed, apparently it's a $550 billion bill. Which is funny because I thought it used to be like $1.5 trillion.

Plus it has almost more kickbacks to Republicans than to Democrats and Unaligned combined. As I said, I thought this already passed because it was always going to in the house. I -still- have no clue why there was such a big fight over it.

Hopefully this will make it easier for moderates to kill the BBB. Ugh.

The progs voted for this to get their vote on the "social spending bill" that is up next, that vote is contingent on voting for it "in its current form" but a ton of it is going to get gutted by Manchin in the Senate. They need every Democrat onboard in the Senate because all Republicans are a no but there are a number of Democrats like Sanders that hate the current "social spending" bill and have threatened to kill it.
