Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Giving a drowning president a lifeline is just beyond stupid, the silver lining in all this is a number of these 13 RINOs are retiring and should be filled with MAGA types come November 2022.
Its... annoying, but largely inconsequential.
Is this the same infrastructure bill that the progs wanted the BBB passed with? Or is it a prerequisite bill to pass another more pork filled infrastructure bill?
An -extremely- cut down version of the big Infrastructure bill they want to pass. Lots of paying off old debts (pre-2020), lots of kickbacks to RINOs, a few grandstanding payments towards projects more designed to bolster interest than make work. Nothing that really... -does- anything. It was supposed to pass months back, and be the prelude to the bigger spending bills. Hell, anyone who mistakes it -for- the big bill would be forgiven, considering even I was for a bit.

The BBB bill that all this is over is basically dead now. The Progressive Caucus pissed away its only leverage.

The progs said they would refuse to approve the infrastructure bill until BBB was passed. They caved, with the vague and tenuous promise that BBB will be passed at some point, maybe, in the future.

There's basically no chance of that happening now, whatsoever.

Only in America can you spend $1.5 trillion to do nothing. Well, maybe Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and Weimar Germany too.

I think it's because they were hyping it up
this biden climate bill / media payment bill
No that's in the bigger bill

This was the bill that was linked to the social spending bill the progs want. Pelosi for the second time(3rd?) delinked the two earlier today. The pork filled bastard bill the progs want is up next in the Senate, where the Democrats have put a bunch of batshit things into after the Virginia debacle. Manchen is poised to neuter that bill and then if it somehow passes will be sent to the House, the "moderate democrats" want the social spending bill left alone but it is going to get gutted. So this same thing is going to happen again in the next 2-3 weeks before Thanksgiving break which then gives way for the debt ceiling crisis in early December before congress fucks off for a month.

And even this one wasn't the infrastructure bill they wanted. The original was 2.5 trillion, this one was 1.2. Stripped out the vast majority of the 'fun' shit for Democrats.
