This randomly showed up under a video I was watching and I figured I'd watch an old SB video for the sake of nostalgia and it was hysterical. The first thing that was funny was at 2:10 he complains about his videos with licensed music in them getting claimed, going through his whole spiel of 'It's illegal, they don't have a legal leg to stand on' and on and on. He wants to use a big word so he says that he's 'making my own video, a derivative work...'. A word with a pretty negative connotation and probably the exact opposite word he'd want to use there haha.

The rest is just classic Dave. 4 years old, but this video could have been released this week. He's just starting on Twitch and he loves the 'positive vibes' of the community, YT is a cesspool, if he can just get through this oooooone bad month he can actually get ahead and start saving, how he's going to essentially burn all his bridges with Machinima as fast as he can by doing a special 'tell all' video as soon as he's officially out of the partnership, and on and on and on. The guy is insane.

Watching it was one of those moments that just really made it hit home how long he's actually been doing this act and how completely sad and pathetic it is, because it's not like this is the first video of him saying all this stuff. I'm sure there are videos from two years earlier that are the same where he shits on the most recent person or entity he has had business with and says good things are just around the corner. He says nothing in this video that he hasn't said in the last few days, it's really amazing.

It's always fun to take a little fieldtrip back in time and watch some of his earlier ''work''.

As you said it's funny just how little has changed over time. Same old Dave with the same habits and grifts. The only thing that really changes is the loss of hair (on his head) and his ''beard'' getting grey.

You could do the same with his CoD streams. Those are actually kinda funny every map played out the same from the first match on a map to the last, he played like a bot the only real changed was when he rarely switched his loadout(from what was the most broken gun to the new broken gun).

The other irony here is that what he considers to be 'Italian Food' would largely be regarded as 'American' by anyone in Italy, since it has deviated so far from traditional recipes. Even what he interprets to be ethnic food really isn't.

There was a great (and bizarre) portion towards the end of Slopping in the Trough with the Pig tonight where he was complaining that nobody had told him how flavorful Mediterranean cuisine was, and wondering why he had only just discovered it now. It says a lot more that a man who was almost 40 has never thought to try different kinds of cultural foods until prompted to do so as a meme for his streams that he can use to bait money. Instead he vaguely blames other people for not telling him about it.

Extrapolating on that, the only reason Phil is an ignorant shut-in is because nobody has told him how to live any differently. We're each of us responsible for the failure that is Phil Burnell.

There are a stunning amount of places to get a falafel in Seattle. In the U district they are on every other block and only a little less elsewhere. Meanwhile he can ramble on for hours on the chain fast food menus.

I still do think it's funny though how he kept telling people he would never get fast food for his stupid show anymore and the next thing he does is get a fuckin falafel, what does he think that is fine dining? It's probably one of the most popular versions of fast food that exists

Phil's life is the manchild's dream. Whenever he has to face consequences for his actions, someone in his life (his mother, his paypigs, the US government, etc) saves him from the most severe consequences.

Funnily enough, though, I think that that lack of consequences in his life will be his downfall. It's very obvious that Phil's lifestyle is completely reliant on very few people nowadays. And when he actually sees himself as a 50 year old dude with no savings, whose paypigs aren't willing to sustain him anymore, it'll be hell for him.

That'll me fun to watch, but until then, it'll only be this faggotry of exceptional whales trying to out-retarr each other.

Pro streamer Phil can't win. He can't win. Everyone and God conspired against him. I said this once but as someone with a set schedule like Phil has, you should be expected to know the position of the sun and be prepared for it. It's never his incompetence.
