What I hate the most about how progressives treat this is how they completely remove agency from the rioters. Nothing is their fault, it's all the militia's fault for simply existing while armed and causing the rioters to chimp out at their mere presence and it's also the police's fault for not getting rid of the militia. They treat this collection of violent subhuman criminals like a force of nature and good trouble and it's all your fault for even getting in their way.

That's precisely how the Leftist mind thinks. The ends justify the means, so the problem is never their own side's bad behavior, but rather, that someone has a problem with their side's bad behavior.

Edit: if Kyle takes the witness stand, I want him to tell Binger "I ran because Rosenbaum looked like a child molester, and those suspicions turned out to be right."

the short answer is that because at that point they already killed your ass when they had you in jail, maybe in the paddy wagon on the way

the long answer is long and complicated but I'll give it a shot if people actually care. people seem really devoted to their abysmal legal ignorance of the system they live under though and I don't know if I can get through
Enlighten us.

I think that's tied to how Democrats/progressives have been collectively gaslighting themselves over the 2020 "Summer of Love".

They romanticized those BLM chimpouts to an insane degree as "the heroic civil rights struggle of our time", and any facts that were inconvenient to that self-serving narrative were aggressively blocked out.

"It was just peaceful protests!
And Antifa is just a right-wing myth!
Or if not, then reports of their violence and destruction must be greatly exaggerated!
Or if not, then White Supremacist™ instigators must have provoked it and are thus to blame!"

Deep denial.

So the way Rittenhouse was being friendly and peaceful and helpful all evening, until he was chased and attacked by those three violent White dindus - that just doesn't fit into the narrative. They can't fathom it.

No, by standing against the "mostly peaceful protesters", Kyle stood against the very civil rights struggle itself!
He was essentially a 1965 cop opening fire on MLK's march over the bridge in Selma!
A 1945 Wehrmacht soldier launching one last attack against allied forces to prevent them from freeing a concentration camp!
Kyle made a stand against the "right side of history", against the "long arc of justice".
That's the only possible way to think of his presence in Kenosha that night - the narrative allows no other.

And that's why leftoids need no other reason to convict Kyle than "He was there. He should not have been there!"

Luckily, it's unlikely that all 12 final jurors will be leftoid NPCs.

I agree with most of this, but I think it's a mistake to think that they actually need 12 shitlibs on the jury. They really just need 11 braindead normies, and 1 shitlib that will hold out until the normies give up and go along with it.

fuck the police tattoo.jpg
"He shouldnt have been armed! He shouldn't have been there!"
The real tragedy is that there weren't 1000 Rittenhouses at every single one of these riots. Since the police refused to protect these communities, there should be nothing wrong with these communities protecting themselves. Any local/state/national government that wants to yell about 'muh laws!' after they intentionally gave license to ravenous mobs of firebug looters to conduct politically-motivated race riots can fuck right off.

I agree with both of these things, in terms of them being bad ideas, and look at what happened, but he was entirely within his legal rights to be there, and unless he was illegally in possession of the weapon, he had every right to have that, too. Just like a scantily clad woman has the right to be in a dark alley.

It doesn't really matter even whether it was legal, though, when the issue is self-defense, and he was clearly reasonably in fear of imminent deadly violence against himself and responded reasonably to defend himself. Not a single person he shot was not actively trying to harm or kill him.

He didn't harm a hair on the head of the single black guy who was making a move on him but backed off realizing shit was real.

The only thing he did wrong was not taking that Grosskreutz fucker's head clean off, but that's excusable as he was on his back and his aim was pretty good under the circumstances. At least he gave him something to remember for the rest of his life.

The funny part is though, as for as the law goes, he would have been better off just mag dumping on Grosskreutz. Grosskreutz is the one witness that is unlikely to fuck over the prosecution.

Being a cuck to thugs instead of protecting your community is a worse idea, but that is the mentality you are encouraging when you say this kind of thing regarding the rittenhouse case.

'I know they'll burn down our stores and destroy everything we hold dear just for the sake of their protest, but at least you won't have to go to court!'

That woman should have a chat with Bernard Goetz.

Blessedly, as far as we know there is at least one lady who bought a gun because of the Summer of Love and her blue porch light for cops/American flag. Plus, at least two crazy women were weeded out in selection.

Wait ... are you Kyle Rittenhouse?
