There were people impersonating Guts in the stream chat today (people have apparently picked up on the fact that Guts has mysterious Derich-like priority with Phil).

Phil's mystery 'tool' is apparently something that allows him to check the YT channels connected to accounts. So he went through systematically and deleted every Guts account that did not originate from his actual channel account.

This required him to completely stop the stream for over 5 minutes as he narrated his search through accounts and channels.
Turtledood astutely asked if Phil would do this for anyone being impersonated and he said he would. This is unlikely. Which raises further questions as to what Guts did that he gets this courtesy.

Especially since he did fuck all to help Derich when people impersonated him.

Having a slow stream tonight would, and I quote: "Set me back and would actually hurt me."

So, to recap, tips are not mandatory. But not tipping directly hurts Phil.

What exactly is the threshold where they become 'mandatory'? I assume it's a semantic because nobody actually needs to pay to see the content, so they're not mandatory to view. They're just mandatory if you don't want to inflict suffering on Phil.

If he doesn't explicitly say tipping is mandatory, then it doesn't count in Phil's mind. Every other way to trick and torture his wheelchairs into going bankrupt tipping him or stealing their parents credit card to tip doesn't count if he doesn't say the magic word mandatory

It has to be some kind of Youtube technicality or a Twitch remnant where you're not actually allowed to outright beg or directly claim serious distress or some shit. Which he blatantly does to any reasonable person on a daily basis, at this point he's basically a crackhead so it might just be his own weird autism.

ProstateSydePhil has to go peepee again.

Dude was late, and fucked around replaying a section of a game, that he already played, for about 30+ minutes and now he's asking for more money. Weird business model you got here. Now he has to take even more time away to piss and talk to his wife asking for permission to stream longer?

What's this about having a slow stream will set him back and hurt him? So it's either tip him a shit ton, or don't tip him at all. He sounded mad about getting $5 from turtledood there.

wow He's going OT to finish this ''game'', I hope those ungrateful paypigs viewer step the fuck up and stop hurting Phil DIRECTLY by not tipping tips are not mandatory but hurt both Phil and his family
Imagine going to work, work for 2 hours and then finding out your boss is only going to pay you half!

Like cmon man....any mature adult would understand that's essentially robbery!

That might be part of it, but I think it's just his ego. In his mind, if he isn't saying tips are mandatory, he's not begging. That's why he acts like people are tipping because of his beast mode gamer skills and chill, hilarious and mature commentary. It's also why he likes to insist he isn't a drama channel/doesn't talk about personal things, despite spending 1 to 2 hours doing exactly that every day on his prestreams.
