I just googled who Travis Scott is, and apparently he's some jogger rapper I'd never heard of, that just had his own "outdoor festival", and when they opened the gates, people stampeded in, trampling 8 people to death, and injuring some number more. As shown above, there were people taping as this rapper continued to perform, despite the casualties, and there were joggers twerking on the ambulance attempting to reach the injured.

Oh, and someone jacked a security in the neck with a needle, requiring the use of Narcan to revive him -

This is a bit tangential, but think it fits here best. Last week the UK held a gay furry convention that all the world leaders went to. When they werent eating shit out of each others discarded diapers they were lecturing the world about the environment.

The event itself was a disaster. Glasgow had several strikes of public sector workers, delegates couldnt get accomodation, they queued outside in the cold for hours, and after flying in were encouraged to stay at their hotels and skype in to the convention.

If we cant organise the meeting to discuss climate change, what makes us think we can change the course of human history?

Which brings me to my point, what makes social justice avocados think that they can change human nature? We exist thanks to the harms of injustice, not despite them.

Engineering out injustice is impossible and anyone who insists that is possible i send straight to jail.

Progressivism/social justice is defined by its commitment to an idealized version of the future. It selects for dedication and piety, not practicality. Pointing out that the proposed changes are unworkable means putting a limit on the idealized future, so that needs to be shouted down.

To the SocJus mindset, the problems of the world could be cured by a combination of sufficient resources and dedication to the cause. When this doesn't work, it means that the people with the money just didn't have enough dedication to the cause. Progressivism cannot fail, it can only be failed.
