But yeah, it is weird that I did expect more people to at least start working again, but something is happening. Diphenhydramine inhibits lipid peroxidation. Cyproheptadine is not known to do so. Benadryl is pretty nasty, though, I agree.

Problem is many of these countries are fudging the population numbers in order to borrow against it or to attract investment. My home country doesn't count the up to a quarter of the population who has left or died because they can't borrow money that much if you show contracting population and yet the past two decades the unemployment has halved and yet the number of employed people has stayed consistently same . You can do the math .

Some of the police I talked to pointed out how it's a load of BS that the state was making them fine small businesses for "breaking da rulez" but mega-corporations like Tesco can just blow off those fines, it's why there was basically no police during the lockdown in my area, they were "patrolling" out in the countryside, so they actually couldn't see any rules being broken.

Unfortunately, 'waiting it out back at home' doesn't work if your country is also forcing QR codes and vaccination mandates. So while this might be true, it really depends on a community and the countries in question.

Can't say if that's a common route, but as a freelancer, I decided to take care of family and stopped taking any in-person assignments, even refusing a lot of remote work as well, if a contracting company requires vaccination status. So a lot of people really quit just because of that.
