Critical race theory at least acknowledges this fact, even if it paints too broad a brush, and the whole reason it acknowledges it is for justification to tear it all down. On the other hand, mainstream conservatism has spent the last few decades ignoring this fact and trying to frame distinctly Anglo-American cultural values as vaguely "Judeo-Christian". I can't help but think that the inability to engage critical race theorists on this point is one of the reasons that the conservative movement has failed so badly at containing critical race theory.
Apparently there's a conspiracy theory popular in progressive circles that Robert Moses (yes, the Early Life section checks out) deliberately designed overpasses on the Southern State Parkway too low for buses so that blacks and Puerto Ricans couldn't ride buses to Jones Beach. I guess that's what Mayo Pete is referring to.
