Very epic and salty. It would be even more salty if the Judge approves of the motion to dismiss.
No. I want a full acquittal of all charges to absolutely preclude the State of Wisconsin from reintroducing them and make it harder for any faggot at DOJ to even think about it. I totally believe Biden fags at Justice are watching and thinking about it, especially if the DNC encourages it since they are going to be BTFO next year in the midterms, hard.

It's been pointed out that dismissal is different from mistrial specifically in that if dismissed, he's innocent and it can't be retried.

It depends on how the charges are dismissed. If they were dismissed with prejudice the State wouldn't be able to refile them. If not they absolutely could fuck with him and reintroduce them later.

Dismissed WITH PREJUDICE iirc, otherwise they can. They could also drum up new charges but a full acquittal makes that extremely unlikely since they'd be based on the same crime he was found not guilty of (yes thank you @Iceland Heavy for confirming).

Just to make clear, a Not Guilty verdict is not the same as a verdict of Innocent, fyi. You really aren't found innocent in a criminal trial in the US, just that the state was unable to convict you of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt.

edit; sorry for edits cat is not well and demands extra attention

I'm pretty sure the with or without prejudice is a civil only thing.

So what’s the deal with the subpoena’d roommate? Should we be seeing him on the stand soon?

No, there is no Dismissed without Prejudice at this point. Jeopardy is attached. If the case is dismissed for any reason it is over permanently. The only exception is a mistrial. Which means start over.

Look, i'm not a criminal law lawyer or practitioner, it depends on each state's criminal law statues. This is a state trial, not a federal one. Double jeopardy only attaches when the same charges are refiled, or refiled in a manner that the same act one is found not guilty of is charged under a different statue.

You could have a situation where the prosecution's conduct is so bad the judge outright dismisses the charges with prejudice before the trial is over, but I doubt this will happen here.

My big takeaway after all this today is how hilarious and whitepilling it is that we went from doompilling about how stupid the defense was the first few days to them slaughtering Grosskreutz on cross today.
Think about how it is for someone like me, who went on day 1 and 2 "Things aren't that bad, stop doompilling" to "Jesus fuck they are obliterating the prosecution."

I'm way too high on hopium

Wrong! Double Jeopardy does not vary substantially by State. It is the accused constitutional rights. Not subject to local statute. The Jeopardy attaches to the incident or crime. Not the charge. The prosecution cannot go fishing for new charges after losing related to the same event. Generally Jeopardy attaches once the trial begins. Prior to that the Prosecution can withdraw charges with leave to refile later.

He was released from the psych ward for attempted suicide THAT DAY, and he was off his meds I think.
It's exactly rocked science.
Two other retards who hadn't been did the same shit, even after he'd already shot one of them.
