How much of it was gb2016 causing issues and could it be that the stranger things cast was inserted to appeal to international audiences? And I'm gonna assume latter though given it appears audience numbers are down 38 percent I wonder how much of that MCU audience is waiting at home?Oh, I've no doubt it will, at least in North America. Rest of the world might be a different matter, since IIRC Ghostbusters is one of those franchises that doesn't really do huge business internationally, which could potentially give Eternals a pretty clear run until No Way Home shows up.
Of course, that's being generous and assuming Eternals doesn't end up front-loaded from MCU fans turning up just to see if there's anything plot-relevant to the upcoming movies with characters people actually care about.
Marvel made the meme more real. This is a bigger crossover than endgame.
Kumar's voice is really annoying. It seems that all the steroids he was on didn't manify his voice any. He should take up chainsmoking maybe.Guys, we have quips:
Didn't flopped hard enough as Agents of SHIELD was the de facto Inhumans series all but in name. They might have felt that the original backstory for the Eternals was too similar to Inhumans which flopped so hard it was cancelled after only one season.
Tariq does it again!
Sadly they missed their chance with Lemar in Falcon and the Winter SoldierTariq does it again!
C'mon Feige, cast Tariq to new movies
Call it The Adventures of Buck
They're much more speciated than a group like the Avengers or the Justice League, who all tend to be all-rounders in terms of abilities. The Eternals are more like an RPG party with dedicated melee, support, mez, etc. I agree that when your job is to protect an entire planet that this team is woefully inadequate for the job, but they were clearly intended to function as a team.
I would watch the shit out of that movie, though if I had to guess, I'd say that Chloe Zhao was most at home shooting in the high prairie of South Dakota or the Australian Outback. Those were the only times that the movie had any soul that wasn't imparted by the actors.
Thanos has a brother?!
I thought according to his MCU adaptation, he was the last of his species because overpopulation destroyed his world.
Yeah, it's very clearly changes the MCU's done crashing into each other. In the comics, Thanos the (human) Eternal having a brother and looking different from the rest of his family due to a genetic disorder is simple. Making Thanos an alien from the planet Titan rather than Titan, the moon of Saturn in our solar system, and making Eternals into robots rather than modified people is much more complicated.I didn't even notice this guy. I saw him in the cast list (Eros) but didn't notice him in the movie. Also, it's really weird that Thanos' brother would look so different. We see Thanos' people in Infinity War do we not, in his projection of the past. They're all big purple people. Siblings looking dissimilar when they're all individual Eternals / Deviants / Titans / Whatever is okay(ish). But now they're part of a whole people, how come they look different? (I'm assuming Eros looks different. Like I say, I didn't spot him in the movie).
Well he does look broken he has a "please massa nawt today I is still sore" look while at the same time craving for BBC (Buck Breacking Cock)
Silly goy you're not supposed to asl questions just consume productThanos has a brother?!

I don’t think we actually see Thanos’ species in Infinity War/Endgame, we just see a distant shot of their planet when it was still flourishing.@Krokodil Overdose Great post. Agreed with all of it. Can't hit "Reply" to it, so I'll just single out these two bits
That's a great analogy and it hadn't occurred to me. When you put it like that I can see how they would all fit together. It also explains why Salma Hayak's character really didn't seem to have much of anything powers-wise except for the ability to heal herself. She's the co-ordinator / leader. All she really needs to do is not be taken out.
Glad someone got what I was getting at despite my sparse explanation. I will forever mourn that we didn't get an MCU movie that actually opened with a Bollywood musical number.

The only way this makes sense is if they're not literal brothers, but connected by blood brotherhood, adoption, or whatever. Thanos being an Eternal introduces so many problems (including but not limited to "how the fuck did the Celestials fall asleep at the wheel this hard?") that I assume it's not going to be the case.Yeah, it's very clearly changes the MCU's done crashing into each other. Eros appeared in the mid-credits scene, not in the movie itself.I didn't even notice this guy. I saw him in the cast list (Eros) but didn't notice him in the movie.
