Inactive Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka - Deadbeat (emphasis on "Dead") founder of Something Awful, forced out of his own community, on his second divorce, stuck his dick in crazy, "Birth Giver"

I am glad I got to raz him about it here, cause I sent him a ton of gross proof we had collected back in 2002 that Smorky was operating a pedofurry image board where he drew sexual pictures of himself as a baby bunny and Lowtax harshly brushed me off over it like I was a straight up fool who didn't know what I was talking about.
He was probably in some form of massive denial lol

Something funny about Lowtax:

He really liked the movie Ghost Dad with Bill Cosby. He would bring it up frequently for some reason. Probably because it was one of those stupid 90's movies with a star in the lead role that had a strange premise and no audience. Rich really liked movies like that.

I guess he liked Ghost Dad a little too much and he finally became Ghost Dad.

Nah, Lowtax was Ghost Dad for years after ghosting his kids and website for so long.

His children missed out on the Patreon money, and that would’ve been the best asset he could give him. Not his time, not his loving emotional support - because he was committed to offering them neither.
Once that was gone, it was just a matter of time for all this to happen. He’d lost everything and lacked the fortitude to claw his way back, the way regular folks without 5-figure patreons would’ve had to. (Supporting your kids is a powerful motivator for most.)
Social security survivor benefits are probably more than any residual funds he had left, but that’s assuming he had worked enough to accumulate benefits.

His Mom is a cold bitch but I begrudge no mother their rage over burying their child. I hope she helps out financially with the grandkids now because her money can’t help Rich, anymore.

He's still a guy with a young family whose depression and pain slipped past us. I know you're right, but Richie was one of us. I hope he's at peace.
Whut? "Slipped past us"? Dude we've been documenting not only his every utterance, but those of dozens of people who knew him personally. We know exactly what his deal was.

His "pain" and "depression" were that his easy, gravy train life was gone. And as we have extensively recorded, that was 100% his own fault but he was in complete denial about it. Anyone trying to talk sense into him was met with a wall of unfunny lolrandom bullshit. Up until the very end he blamed everyone else but himself for the loss of his cushy life. Let's recap this man's greatest hits:

- He defrauded his own forums users by raising $20,000 to upgrade the software, but embezzled it instead.
- He let a known paedophile babysit his children.
- He beat two wives and one girlfriend, at least.
- He confiscated and hid his second wife's passport and deliberately didn't complete her immigration paperwork so that he could threaten her with deportation if she stepped out of line.
- When he went to Utah for a month to fuck some BPD girl half his age, he left his wife alone with the kid and no transport.
- When his eldest (14-year-old) daughter called him out on the above he told her to go fuck herself.
- Despite this, his first wife arranged for the second to get into into a women's shelter. She setup a GFM which Lowtax's mods got taken down.
- Lowtax's first action on discovering this was to tell Facebook that he was going to call ICE on his own wife out of vengeance.
- When she sued for divorce he deliberately spent as much money on gatcha games and prostitutes as he could to spite her AND HIS OWN DAUGHTER.
- He spent months denying that Bogan was a side-piece and instead insisted she was a "brand manager". The main contribution to SA was to offer unpaid writing for the site in return for "exposure".
- After he beat her and she revealed it on the forums, he forced her to record a tearful video saying she lied and he didn't hit her.
- He spent years popping pills and chugging booze, whilst vehemently denying it, even when he appeared on stream smashed out of his head.
- When the DV case collapsed because his victim declined to give evidence, he described it as "vindication" and being found "not guilty".
- The second it became clear he had to bear some consequences for the above, he blew his brains out leaving three children without a father.

That's like maybe 10% of Lowtax lore. This is a man who would literally rather die than support his own children. His suicide wasn't an act of despair or desperation, it was an act of narcissism and the ultimate laziness. He didn't want to bother with his children any more, he didn't want to bother fixing his life or having to work for a living, so he checked out.

In general, when someone offs themselves, I would agree that there is often private pain that we will never know. But Lowtax made his private life very public, often against the wishes of the other people involved. It's crystal clear why he ate a bullet, and it does not show him in a good light at all. Yes, his exes were all crazy, you have to be crazy to let Lowtax stick his droopy dick in you. But they weren't, by and large, bad people, at least not compared to Lowtax. And his kids are innocent in all this. From the little we've seen, his eldest daughter is much more mature and responsible than the father who let her down so badly throughout her life, then let her down one last time. He let all his kids down by doing what he did, and it certainly wasn't the first time he put his feelings above their welfare, but thank God it will be the last.

Friends, goons, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Lowtax, not to emptyquote him;
The evil that men post lives after them,
The good is oft interred with their pwns,
So let it be with Lowtax ... The noble Jeffrey
Hath told you Lowtax was a wife beater:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Lowtax answered it ...
Here, under leave of Jeffrey and the rest,
(For Jeffrey is an honourable man);
So are they all; all honourable men)
Come I to speak in Lowtax's funeral ...
He was my administrator, faithful and just to me:
But Jeffrey says he was a wife beater;
And Jeffrey is an honourable man….
He hath brought many posters home to Something Awful,
Whose avatars did the general coffers fill:
Did this in Lowtax seem wrong?
When that the wives have cried, Lowtax hath paid the child support:
Wife beaters should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Jeffrey says he was a wife beater;
And Jeffrey is an honourable man.
You all did see that on the GoonCon
I thrice presented him a willing goonette
Which he did thrice refuse: was this wife beating?
Yet Jeffrey says he was a wife beater;
And, sure, he is an honourable man.
I speak not to disprove what Jeffrey spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love him once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then to mourn for him?
O judgement! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason…. Bear with me;
My heart is in the coffin there with Lowtax,
And I must pause till it come back to me

Powerlevel but I was about Sloane's age when my own dad died. A sudden ICH that he didn't know he was at risk for and the doctors couldn't fix, nothing that could be done, so there were no "what if"s and no choices and nobody to blame for it. It still fucked my childhood up.

I can't even comprehend what sort of a father would choose to inflict that on his kids. It wasn't even that he was severely depressed and thought they'd be better off without him, I could absolutely understand and forgive someone doing that if they were delusional and thought it would be a kindness. This wasn't that, this was him trying to spite the exes and get out of paying child support. Fuck him for doing that to his kids.

Meanwhile pajeet lowtax and General Mayhem are still rocking

Was Lowtax one of the last "giants" of the web 1.0 era that still had a public face (If even in a extremely diminished way)? I'm having a hard time coming up with any others that are still around.
